I bought this from my LFS when an employee recommended it. So far it’s been doing a phenomenal job. Perfect size pump for a small RO reservoir. Can’t wait to see how it’ll do in the long run.
How do you like yours? Any problems? I'm in the market for one, but the reviews on all the units on BRS seem mixed good/bad. I need a ATO for 15 gallon waterbox.

Hi Thomas, it’s Janine. You’re so famous 🥰🔥I don’t have an aquarium right now, but I’ve been perving out hard on “Tidal Gardens” lately, and was just thinking about you guys, and then stumbled on this. You look amazing on here! You’re so good at public speaking. Great work! Does Simon also host a UA-cam university?
Hey!!! Long time no see!!!! Thanks so much :D!!!! Honestly not sure what happened with Simon? I'm all the way in Nova Scotia now hahaha. Way out of touch with the old crew.
@@ThomasBReef Nova Scotia? Oh my gosh. Do you work in a fish store still? Or are you just an aquarium encyclopedia celebrity in our phones now? I miss it so much. The next most rewarding job I did that was even comparable, was gardener at a country club. The scale of the control was similar, but there was no fish or water, and I was innit. Ya know? It was not as good, but better than, like, a desk or whatever. Hearing you talk about filters makes me want to algae scrub with you. Your ring looks awesome on camera too :) hiiieee 🙂
For a tank of that size, you're likely going to be ok with this ATO. The issue with larger tanks is that this ATO has a max run time for the pump as a safety feature, so you just need to make sure that the tank can be topped off before that max run time is reached. The pump can pump a max of 7 feet vertically, so depending on how tall your AIO tank is, you may need an ATO with a slightly stronger pump.
@@BRStv got ya thanks, have it on a evo 13.5 now but planning upgrade to a cube so just trying to plan ahead a bit maybe re-use if possible. Sounds like it may work will just need to test to be certain after I know my evap on new tank to be certain was just curious if its been done yet
The Prism ATO has three infrared sensors, while the JBJ has two optical sensors. Other than that, most of the specs (pump head height, max material thickness, etc) are all very similar.
I had this exact ATO and it just died the other day making it only 4 months to the date. Absolutely a waste of money. I would have to reset it at least once a week. No I am ordering a the xp duetto this week. Again don’t waste you money. Look at a different nano ato.
What ATO are you using now? I’m curious what you landed on since you were having problems with this one? Did you ever try to get it replaced under warranty?
@@TrevorHiller It was a china made product with ZERO support. It broke after the return time for amazon so I had to eat it. Dont waste your money as it constantly would stop working and took for ever to try and get it set up again. I never ended up replacing it with another unit as it was just easier to fill daily for me with a gallon of RODI water. I since got out of reefing.
I bought this product and I am shocked at how bad it is. And I am shocked at how anyone could be happy with it. In the instructions and in the contents of this video, it’s clear that when you initially plug this in it needs to fill water up past the entire sensor so that is completely submerged. Then, you’re supposed to either wait for the water to evaporate I suppose, or manually remove water until it reaches the halfway point between the high water mark and the low watermark. Or maybe it’s supposed to reach the low watermark or something. It’s also confusing, all I know is it if I plug in an ATO I don’t want so much freshwater poured into my tank that it goes past the middle of the sensor. It makes no sense. How and why are you putting up with this, it would totally mess up the parameters of your saltwater tank to have that much fresh water in…and I unplug my ATO all the time. This was for a pico tank, pouring that much freshwater past the sensor basically made it half fucking freshwater. Makes no sense
Appointing Thomas to do these videos was the best decision BRS made. The way he does the videos keeps your attention.
Watching this from my hospital bed can't wait to get home to my tanks and enjoy them again. Watching these videos gives me hope much respect Thomas.
We hope you get better soon!

That is the cutest pump I've ever seen... Wow that's a sentence i never pictured me thinking. 🤔🤷♂️

@@TrevorHiller It’s been working for me. No issues at all. Highly recommend
@@flannelcommander awesome! I think my other half would kill me if the tank overflowed, so I need reliable equipment. 😂
It’s the same as Blue Marine Ato. Works great. Ideal for nano tanks. Small pump, but nice power. Steady flow, fills in no time
Correct sir! Aqua medic sell them to.
I got this early last month and love it.
I like that u can even use reverse to pump water out of tank and pump back in 🧐
Just ordered mine before leaving on a trip for 4 days really excited to this mini pump in action 🤘

is this the best nano ato ?
Will this work for a 60g cube with 20g sump if not what about a 60g aio

Can someone explain the status lights please:
Solid green
Flashing green
Flashing red
Once my ATO has filled my tank it flashes green.
Flashing green you are good.
Solid green when filling
Red light pump needs water
Red light blinking safety mode. Pump stops to not overflow your tank. Just unplug to reset

costs more than the full size one
That's true, but remember that the full size one doesn't come with a pump
