The Director is by far my favorite "villain." He stood his ground even in the truest of threats. Even without the Cabal, he would still be a powerful person.
So does Alan Fitch too. Alan was solely responsible to make the cabal hold their guns against Red. He made Katarina Rostova Mata Hari, he made real Red traitor. Just to show fake red is unprotected nowhere safe from Alan he abducted Red from the secret task force.

The cabal seems so weak after season 3. The way they made the cabal seem like it was just made up of Alan fitt and the director.
