Grew up just north of Everett, the turning bridge is in fact an accurate representation of that bridges mechanism! super weird but cool to see all the old roads I used to drive just in a compressed version
I'm enjoying the Realistic Economy + Fuel combo, got a loan for 100k for the Peterbilt, goes for 100 bucks each day, not bad, some works i get 800 - 900 bucks each so far, just the gasoline is very expensive indeed, sometimes i leave 600 bucks at it and i keep going low gears to try and save fuel.
Love this series. I am doing this with over 36 loads done and only $8000 in the bank at level 7. It's really hard and you can't crash or you will destroy your bank account and if you have an escort job that the escort fails to lead. Aw Lord, $10,000.00 fine!!! DEAD!

I have seen a bridge like that in Delaware, and in New Jersey matter effect when I used to drive trucks up and down East Coast

That type of bridge is called a "swing span." I live in Davenport, Iowa and we have one in the form of the Arsenal Bridge.
Been doing my own realistic. Just got my first truck a 70s K100 with a barn find skin and rusty wheels to make it look like a true first truck.
Great series, love watching and inspired me to go for a realistic economy and fuel run, too. Love the slow and mindful playstyle.
Those turning bridges do exist, they are called swing bridge.

Love this series. Maybe perhaps think about getting your own flatbed or step deck trailer before you buy another truck. Way more money with your own truck and trailer as opposed to power only.
Enjoying the series. Recently my wheel went out and I've been playing keyboard and mouse. It is definitely different, lol. Hopefully I'll be able to a save up and get a new one. Looking at a G920.

Highly recommend the “Realistic Traffic Mod” it adds way more traffic and changes their behaviour

Spinning bridges are real...got one where I'm from
The bridge is called a Swing Bridge and there are a number all over the US, though they seem to be falling out of favor overall: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swing_bridge
The one you used seems to be based on the Umpqua River Bridge in Oregon: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Umpqua_River_Bridge though it might just be inspired by a number of others.

21:40, there's a drawbridge like that in Beaufort, SC. If you ever watched Forrest Gump you've seen it as he ran across it.
I'm loving this series! As i said before, i'm doing the "same run", using this truck, without map gps BUT i use the voice to tell me where to turn, i want to do manual map in the future, but i wanted to get used to manual first and i'm doing let's play as well of it, but with no voice, just memes once in a time when it makes sense to be a little more fun. Love your videos and loving the commentary! Keep em coming! So immersive! The inside camera you're using webcam track? (Tobii Eye Track right? Saw on the description)

Hello mate, loving your style and gameplay, just started watching this series. One quick question, are you using any traffic mod ? On the last videos it seemed kinda empty especially on the highways, I use a lot "Real traffic density" I think it was that one, made it more realistic for me at least on highways or big cities.

sometimes i wonder why scs went backwards from the 18 wheels of steel series to mts back then we had the option to buy used truck and it would have been cool if scs could add the old trucks

4 months late, but yeah I now use mods to make a hardmode save, had to fix the mod truck, since it hasn't been updated in ages(gps broken since 1.46)
Though I don't use a tobii tracker. Tried one last year but for me it doesn't work as well as trackir.

The truck does overtake the voice in this one. 😂
not sure if it was just me, but when the truck revved up, your voice would get very low and hard to hear. i thought it was my tv but i tested it on my phone and the same issue was still there. your voice was perfectly fine prior to starting up the truck so im not sure what the issue was but just thought id let you know. series is going great so far!

My truck was running just fine and now it won't move at all with the load I need to haul. I don't understand why. Was working I dropped off a load and now its not working. There is a red light on the dashboard but I have no clue what light it would be for. I don't understand why I have the worst luck with this game. I have been trying to play it smoothly for at least two days now. I just got back into the game and its just not working for me anymore.
With the cheating for the GPS, i mean everyone has a Smartphone with GMaps or Apple Maps... ;)
