Yes, you can trade FDAX and the Mini-FDAX at Tradovate, IB, AMP and other U.S. Brokers. "Leverage" is generally Forex/CFD terminology. With CME Futures products, the margin is set by the exchange and then brokers (FCMs) can set their own initial, day-trade, and maintenance margin. In dollar terms, most brokers require between $100-500 in margin per micro contract.
@@futuresfanatic Thank you so much. I was absolutely in panic when I found that CFDs are banned in US. I thought only stocks are there. But futures have the same margin as CFDs leverage and much lower spreads which is amazing. The margin is 1:20 anyway, but one can use 1:10 with money management.. CFDs are just for people that cant afford real contract.
If your platform is freezing you need to upgrade your RAM. Other platforms such as Trading Technologies, Motive Wave, and Quantower will also require a lot of resources.

Hey I am just wondering what did you end up choosing. I had tradestation for almost 10year and they are leaving Canada due to political restrictions on brokerage house.
Something about futures trading seems to good to be true. If i trade a strategy successfully say trading the ES with 1 contract then over time as the account grows you can take on more contracts so $100 trades now trading 5 contracts would be equivalent to $500. But then the question comes in at what contract level do you hit a market ceiling ? At some point you may suffer slippage, partial fills and low liquidity. So how do u know what that point is ?
Since futures are highly leveraged products, they are capital efficient and there isn't a need to trade large size. That said, if you trade ES, MNQ and/or bonds (ZN) there is plenty of liquidity, slippage is minimal, and you could fill hundreds of contracts within a few ticks.

And which data feed do you recommend for the study of the historian? I trade on 1-2-3, ross hook, reversal, Joe Ross trading. A thousand thanks!!!!
Sierra with AMP is a combo I prefer over Infinity. NjnjaTrader will take some time to learn but overall I prefer it to Sierra. I would still edge toward Ninja since they now own Tradovate so you get a web and mobile platform too which isn’t available for Sierra.

Tradovate, now called Ninja Web Trader. Mnay futures brokers also offer other web based platforms like iBroker, CQG Desktop, and of course TradingView is browser based.
Not my area of expertise. Crypto futures are generally not permitted in the U.S. If you're outside the U.S. there are many options available. I have accounts with Bitget, Binance, Kraken and others. All have "platforms," most of which are TradingView interfaces.

You need a real time data plan to paper trade so the connection fee alone will not work. Once you have real time data from Tradovate or you can purchase it directly from TradingView, then you'll be able to paper trade. The smaller margin products are micros like MES, MNQ, and MYM.

is there anyway you could show how to purchase and sell natural gas futures for these platforms and show all the fees and commission prices as well as explain data costs and how they will rack up, and explain why you would need to use a combination of platforms, it seems with the fees on these a person might want them to be good enough to stand alone, and why would you want trading view if your not going work in the futures market
Thanks for the comment. Probably more than I could outline in a reply. Natural Gas is traded under the symbol NG and you can find it on most platforms with a CME data bundle. Always remember that your friend for everything futures is the CME.

@@futuresfanatic right now i just use BOIL and KOLD but what im wonder is difference cost between WEBULL and actual futures is doesn't seem like it would worth the few hours in the middle of the night to do it , the actual costs adding up is what i would need to see before researching further, i understand the tickers i follow them on Barcharts for free so i will know the opening price at premarket on KOLD and BOIL
@@hayseedfarmboy Trading Nat Gas ETFs are completely different animals than energy futures and transaction costs are the least of the issues. It's best to stay away from energy futures until you have some experience with basic stock index futures first.

Hello, Can you please let me know how Ironbeam broker is when Sync with Trading view for execution. Is it fast or okay okay
I don't use IronBeam with TradingView but if it is a supported integration then the performance should be acceptable to good, but generally I wouldn't use TradingView as a front end for scalping or frequent trading.
Hi Rod, i hope you can make a vid on how to connect a TD account to N8. Thanks a lot.

What's your take on tradestation.
Solid platform. I coded in Easy Language for a long time. Brokerage services are average. For most, though, it's over kill and the developer ecosystem has all moved to Ninja and other platforms.
What is a great futures broker that allows MT4 platform? Any of the three above you have mentioned above do this?
Check with AMP Futures. I believe they offer MT5, not sure about MT4.
I use tws to trade futures. The execution speed is excellent but the chart is very ugly and difficult to use and configure.
I'm thinking of switching to Ninja Trader in the near future.
thanks for this video
Your welcome. Yeah, TWS is not a good home for futures trading. I think you'll like either Ninja or their web offering Tradovate.
Is there any platform where I can trade futures via an API?
There are several. The most accessible is via Interactive Brokers. I believe the "retail" API is Rest but they also have FIX for registered entities. www1.interactivebrokers.com/en/index.php?f=5041
@@futuresfanatic Thx a lot, I just saw the page you provided. Great news. Is IB the broker to use these days or are there any competitors on the same level? I heard from amp, ninja traders etc but don't know whether they allow connecting an app that is communicating with their platform via an API.
@@Andersson584 IB is the best I'm aware of.
@@futuresfanatic Thx again for your insights!
@@Andersson584 why trade with an API and what is it?

CQG is a more reliable data feed.
In USA right? What leverage on trading FDAX? Is it even allowed in USA?
@@futuresfanatic but which broker is absolutely best for futures YM and FDAX? Where is the lowest commission with certified and reliable broker

If your platform is freezing you need to upgrade your RAM. Other platforms such as Trading Technologies, Motive Wave, and Quantower will also require a lot of resources.

i heard bad things about AMP... not sure why you placing it here
I've had a good experience with AMP. For the combination of cost and platforms, it's the best option for beginners.

Anyone have experience with iron beam?and there firetip x platform?
Yes, solid broker and platform.
Hello, congratulations for the channel! In the past I have traded with the broker Infinity Futures and Sierra Chart, and I must say that Sierra is really good!
I do day trading, statistical study and ATM positions. I doubt whether to use Ninjatrader with Ninja Broker, or AMP Futures with Sierra Chart. What do you recommend? And which data feed do you recommend for the study of the historian? I trade on 1-2-3, ross hook, reversal, Joe Ross trading.
A thousand thanks!!!!
Sierra with AMP is a combo I prefer over Infinity. NjnjaTrader will take some time to learn but overall I prefer it to Sierra. I would still edge toward Ninja since they now own Tradovate so you get a web and mobile platform too which isn’t available for Sierra.
I don’t know anything about Joe Ross trading.
@@futuresfanatic Hi, I really want to try Tradovate's platform and use a reputable broker like AMP, but apparently Tradovate no longer has any connectivity to AMP. I'm not a fan of Sierra Charts. Do you have any other suggestions on a trusted broker and a mobile/desktop platform like Tradovate that can also be used with AMP or another comparable broker?
@@rubysundae134 If you want to use AMP, you'll need to use one of the many platforms they offer. Of note, AMP never offered Tradovate as it has always been a closed platform. So if you want to use Tradovate, then open an account with Ninja/Tradovate brokerage. Also, there is nothing special or reputable about AMP versus the dozens of other FCMs.
But Mini-Dax Futures is in Euro currency 1tick=5Euro, so how does is work when you live in USA and have Tradovate with dollars?
Euro based Eurex and CME products are converted into your base currency each day. So, yes, trading the FDAX in the U.S. has some currency risk too.
@@futuresfanatic My last question is - Where can I trade VX(VIX) futures? Tradovate doesn't have it
@@dominludwin7 You can trade VIX futures at AMP and Interactive Brokers.
Hello I am new in the futures world, Can anyone tell me if MT5 is a futures platform ?
Yes, you can trade futures on MT5, but not MT4. AMP Futures offers MT5, but it's the worst of all their options. Quantower a much better choice.
have you tried out quantower?
Yes, excellent platform. I mention it in a follow-up video on platforms.
Tastyworks for options and stock only. I love it. No way to use graphs for futures so never tasty for futures.
Totally agree! It's a great platform for options on futures too. But, as you also mention, the charts and pretty lacking and they don't support trade from charts, or have advanced order management, or many other features needed for active futures trading.
Does ninja trader offer a histogram chart for volume?
Yes, but it does require a paid license. The order flow volume suite of 5 indicators is unfortunately not available in the free version.

Hello ! I am looking for a plat form for single click futures for crypto
Not my area of expertise. Crypto futures are generally not permitted in the U.S. If you're outside the U.S. there are many options available. I have accounts with Bitget, Binance, Kraken and others. All have "platforms," most of which are TradingView interfaces.
Hello, I would appreciate a lot if you could help me with this question.
1.- I linked the plaforms Tradingview & Tradovate but when I try to buy a contract it tells me the cost is $12k USD, (In my papertrade account)
How can I actually buy a contract in $50 USD?
Notes:
I have not paid the plan Tradovate -SIM $12.99 USD
I only Paid the price to linked the account on the Ad-On
When I use the demoacccount of tradovate on tradingview it doesnt tell me the trade value only when I use the papertrade of tradingview
You need a real time data plan to paper trade so the connection fee alone will not work. Once you have real time data from Tradovate or you can purchase it directly from TradingView, then you'll be able to paper trade. The smaller margin products are micros like MES, MNQ, and MYM.

Well I did get to the end of it; and found it "very very informative" :) but it took a lot longer than 18 minutes, I'm still too much a novice and with so much information offered at such speed; I had to go back over things sometimes several times, but I've got a lot of notes; and will watch this superb educational again because quite simply there is so much information in it. I'm also very conscious that there is a direct dollar equation between "live-information", for which you typically have to pay, and "delayed-information" which is more likely to be free. Without going back over it right now; it would seem the cheapest "live-information" is on the ninja platform?. you clearly know this business and these platforms far better than most who are also offering information and advice. How is Ninja trader for trading Crypto futures?
NinjaTrader is an excellent platform for charting, analysis, and execution. However, currently, the only crypto futures you can trade are ETH (Etherium) and MBT (Micro Bitcoin). Please note, these are Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) regulated products and very different than the "crypto futures" of all the Asian based exchanges. There is a data feed to Coinbase for NinjaTrader but trading is not yet enabled.

What are your thoughts on FGCT as a platform?
Unfortunately none as I'm not familiar with it at all. Actually have never heard of it.
Thanks a ton for this video. Ninja T does not offer advanced chart based trading and automated facilities through their basic funded account. You need to have a fully licensed version for this. Thought I might add this.
