i don’t usually share my experience on social medias, but i feel the need to do this now. i’m now 18, turning 19 in some days. i’ve been listening to this song since i was 14. my depression started when i was 13, and this song always felt like a lullaby for me because i didn’t know what was wrong with me, and why i was feeling such emptiness at that young age, but this melody always comforted me when i had the worst nights. when i read the caption i immediately felt a connection between the scenarios you described and my own experience. it’s such a comfort knowing that there are people who feel the exact same way i feel about a melody. it’s crazy because it’s just a bunch of notes that represents an extremely specific feeling. i felt a connection with this song when i was still very young, and now i’m almost at the end of my teenage years and i still feel that exact same connection i felt the first time i heard this. thank you for this video, i come back to it every time i wanna revive those nostalgic but comforting nights.
