Same here! I wasn't sure what to expect for that secret 4K release but when I saw it was Invasion USA I was super happy with that announcement. Now I just hope it comes in before the 4th of July so I can watch it around then. Maybe I'll make that a new tradition. lol

Ordered Darkness! Watched the 4K of The Abyss this evening in 4K. Absolutely gorgeous transfer. Watched it with my wife and it was the first time we watched it since we were dating in 1989. Great memories.

Death Wish 3 is really underrated. I've always liked that one. I would love for it to get the boutique treatment.
I love that one a ton. I would buy that in 4K in a heartbeat. It also seems like it would be a good fit for Vinegar Syndrome since they did Death Wish 2 a while back. I keep hoping.

I know it's impossible due to right issues, but I wish Vinegar Syndrome could release limited editions (beautiful booklets, mesmerizing slipcovers, etc) of "Near Dark", "Trancers", "I, Madman", and "Modern Girls" (this last one, just because).
Invasion USA is my favorite Chuck Norris movie by far, I have the OOP Scream Factory Blu-ray.👍
It's right up there for me so I can't wait for this 4K. Once it comes in I will be watching it 4th of July weekend.
Hi Richard, thanks for the update today! I really want to get Darkness from SF soon. Maybe I'll order it this weekend. I ended up getting the House by the Cemetery comic collection and Riddle of Fire record from VS~along with a few titles. I might go back in to order a couple more before the end of the sale. I was already getting the regular releases from the VS subscription but I had ordered back in March when they had that special pre-order and got Navy Seals and Dangerous Game. Last night I did add The Instructor and The Ripper. I'm doing what you're doing and will probably add something else before the weekend is out. I'm leaning towards Lifeline at least.
Hey, before watching Dawn of the Dead, make sure you watch Night of the Living Dead 4k version. I ordered most of the new vinegar syndrome releases and I now can't afford to eat. Great video as ever and please enjoy your weekend, and remember you trip with your dear friend that passed.
Thank you so much! All through the weekend I was getting reminders of the trip and my friend. Bittersweet for sure but definitely grateful to have them. I actually make it a tradition (not that I don't watch it other times of the year anyway lol) to watch Night Of The Living Dead every October 1st to kick off the month. I did watch Dawn over the weekend which I needed on so many levels.

You pronounce degausser correctly! But it's funny I never put two and two together. That degaussing is actually something you do with video, hence everything in the degausser line is shot on video

Thank you Hector! I am pretty sure I saw Criminally Insane when I was a kid but can't seem to remember much. I for sure remember that VHS cover. Funny how we remember certain things from our childhood. There are certain VHS covers that seem to be burned in my brain. lol
@RichardDiaz if you remember those covers it means those artists did their job. Some of the best covers were from the VHS horror movies. And you haven't seen The Venezuelan VHS boxes which I have and they're awesome. The Absurd Blu-ray reverse cover has the Venezuelan VHS art under the title Maldicion Satanica so far the only movie that has done this.🤔
The Instructor has Champagne & Bullets vibes all over it based on the trailer. Looks like a blast. This release month impressed me a lot from VS, I went all out & got quite a lot. Wife won't be happy when we do the bills 😂
Haha The ways we must keep the wife calm when our movie bills come in. lol I am looking forward to The Instructor. Like you I think it just looks so much fun. I had to add that one to my order as soon as I saw the trailer too.
I have the Neca wolf and the demons. Love them! I'm kind of interested in Darkness. I've heard the unrated version is really good. I wasn't a fan of the theatrical version. I bought a lot from the VS sale. I got Criminally Insane, The Black Room, Satan's Menagerie, Scalper, Blood Hook and Buried Alive. I've seen Blood Hook. The rest are blind buys
A lot of good ones you got! I'm trying to remember all of them but for me most of those were good. I think The Black Room was actually a pretty interesting one with what it was about. I love those American Werewolf Neca figures too! I will definitely be picking up the David and Jack set.
Thank you! After between a year and a half and two years of swearing off buying anything for myself that is manufactured by Shout! Studios, I placed an order on their website from the 4K sale, which I found out about right when I began to become aware of a problem concerning the 4K from another company of one of the movies that was part of the sale and how much more it would cost to deal with that than to buy the Scream Factory version during the sale. I was bolstered in deciding to place an order by the fact that, according to what I've read, companies don't really make any money from sale items and so I'm not significantly benefiting Shout or Scream Factory by participating in it.
There were a few titles I was contemplating for that sale but I have so much on order right now elsewhere for other things that I'm trying to be responsible. Maybe that isn't the right word. Less spendy with the monies. Basically. lol Which title had the issue? Was it a transfer problem or something else?
@@RichardDiaz lol I'm not sure whether there was a manufacturing problem with the disc (as I received a replacement of the Blu-ray version from the same company) that caused the playback problem that I had, or if it was a matter of damage from my being made, as part of this never-ending ultimate hell, to inexplicably drop it and other discs right by the Xbox I use to play them, but it was the Halloween II NSM 4K. You already have all the 4Ks I ordered from the sale, and I'm not kidding at all. lol -

I was debating it and when I decided I might go for it it was sold out. lol I was literally thinking about Nail Gun Massacre since I was on their website earlier and realized I hadn't ordered it yet. I was thinking about Darkness only a few days ago but couldn’t remember the title. If it’s the movie I’m thinking of, there are scenes during an eclipse where the screen goes completely black. I always thought it be cool to watch that in a completely dark room.
I think you're right! I have only seen it once and it was forever ago. I don't even think I've seen the uncut version. I'm debating grabbing both of the titles but $60 for both is making me wait until after this weekend. I still haven't seen all of the sales going on.
