Great show Guys, I will be getting the box and probably a box of rhino's. Doing Sons Of Horus backed up by Legio Mortis. Can't go too far though because I've got the Old World coming in January! 😮😊
Slight clarification/point of optimism on the AT-going-to-direct point - the Reaver Titan with Melta/Chainfist is still going to be available from third party retailers too, according to the leaked price list. It's only the alternate weapon variations of those that are confirmed to be direct only (and I'm pretty sure the Warlord at least always was that way) as well as the Knight Lancer box. It seems like they might just be staggering out re-releasing the titans and the Warhound, Warbringer, some of the Knights, and if we're lucky even the Warmaster could come back to being available 3rd party too.
I think that’s likely too. After all they will be reboxed as LI units so seems odd if they were only ever available direct. Likely purely to slowdown the amount of stock having to be dispatched to vendors
I'm hoping the base game is small to medium games but an expansion to apocalypse sized epic comes soon. Full maniples, huge tank brigades, legion sized infantry formations!!!
yes, very encouraging! I reckon we may see a slight blackout over xmas though if the stock goes the way im expecting it to - but good to know this isnt a limited run box
As someone who doesnt buy Games Workshop stuff and is only interested in this game due to nostalgia about the old Space Marine game, i would say the prices are a bit steep, when compared with products from say Flames of War which is of similar quality, similar variations of models of tanks etc BUT is at the 15mm scale so generally bigger models. 10 Rhinos at £30 seems good value to me for the amount of plastic but i believe theyre only worth 100 points so only a fraction of an army. The Kratos heavy tanks - £30 for four! That's £7.50 per tank. In Flames of War, you can get a box of five heavy Tiger tanks for £40 which is a full platoon and a large chunk of your force. Kratos tanks are only 50p cheaper per tank, and you only get four in a box. Although you can field a unit of four Kratos tanks, in practical terms, i would guess you would want at least six in a single unit. So in reality you need to spend £60 on two boxes to get a full unit (probably use all 8 in a unit) or £90 to form two units of six. Although there are a minority of people who can spend £500 or more without a second throught, i think a lot of people, especially younger people who GW might want to get into the game will be put off by how much they will need to get to have a decent sized army.
GW is considerably more expensive than their competitors, as a Bolt Action player as well I very much appreciate how affordable that game is. However, the higher cost does (generally) align to better models and a more premium product. Whether that’s seen in something so small as a rhino I’m not sure not having seen the actual models. I can vouch for the quality of their Titan models however which I think are miles ahead of any direct competition outside of Gw. I can see a lot of people picking up the rules set and then 3d printing their own models. That would be the more affordable way of going it, however, if too many people do that to the point that it effects sales then it could also have an adverse effect on the future of the game. We will see! My recommendation if use local gaming stores, they often have a discount (some in the uk as much as 20%) and at that point it’s still not cheep, but more affordable. Appreciate you taking the time to pen your message!!
I am very excited for this, though I can't work out if I want one or two boxes - this definitely isn't an AT starter set tier box where I want n+1 of them, where n = the number I currently have. With respect to the missing Predators, Sicarans, Leman Russes and Malcadors: obvious explanation is they want to encourage multiple buys of the big box (the theory is the number of each in the box is half a standard detachment) so don't want to make it too easy to get them early.
You will laugh but I only know bits and bobs of lore so I didn't know Sanguinius died 😂 Doesn't really spoil anything though. Besides, I'm so buzzed about my inbound order of Legions, nothing can bring me down! 😃
Oh no! 😂😂 it’s like the main piece of 40k lore that’s been floating around since the early 90s and the books have been hinting at it since Unremembered Empire 😂😂😂 but we will try and be more careful in the future! Sorry for the spoiler!
Absolutely not. The repackaged titans now come with weapon cards and terminals included so if anything it’s a massive improvement to the AT support model
Thank you, I am fairly new to Titanicus , and having painted up the starter set was thinking WG had done their usual and made everything obsolete.@@Maximalfire
The last minute was the best part of the pod 😂
Thanks? 😂😂
Great cast guys!
Thank you!
@@Maximalfire also... POW!
Nice one as always gents. I will certainly be boosting up on the Civitas terrain, so I will be able to help with 3 or 4 tables at Beachhead too!
You beauty!
Sorry I missed using the link on my Warbreaker order. To much excitement on trying to get it.
😂 no worries! Next Warbreaker you buy you will though right? 😂

Yeah it’s a tad bad timing for that isn’t it!!?!
I’m going to drop a grand on all the rules and terrain. Already got the miniatures covered via forum ware. Very excited for this release.
Im never going to financially recover from this...
@@Maximalfire indeed. I’ve been saving for months. Lol

Let’s make this a meme 😂

Backdrop a throne additional I think the short story could be called
Sounds right! Great short story!

Ooof now your talking!
Base game is 3k points. Starter set gets you 660 points in titans and 500 points for solar and 500 points for marines approximately
They said on FB that the starter box will be an on going thing.

AT now officially retired as a system then?
NEVER! AT will always be our first and true love!
GW have explicitly said that neither AT nor AI (albeit only heresy) are not being retired and will continue to receive releases.
So, does Imperialis mean that Titanicus is buried as a standalone game ?
Absolutely not. The repackaged titans now come with weapon cards and terminals included so if anything it’s a massive improvement to the AT support model

Gutted at the reported price of the tiles 😢 saying that will drop money on the cards, maps and other terrain!!
Same here!
It’s 100% them funneling them money direct. It’s part of their business model
