Shot on the Canon 1D range (1DX Mark II & 1DCs) in 4k!

This wedding was shot on location at the Woodlands of Marburg, just outside of Brisbane, Australia. It was shot on 3x Canon 1D bodies, entirely in 4k. The total size of the wedding is around 800GB. The edit the insanely huge MJEP codec, proxy files were made using Adobe Premiere Pro CC's proxy workflow which made it super simple.

I got a few questions for you:
1) How are you setting up your picture profile? Non C-Log I'm assuming since the 1DXii doesn't have C-Log?
2) How much CF Card storage do you use per camera on a shoot like this?
3) How long does a single battery last for?
4) How is the ISO performance of these cameras especially for low light?
5) How do you expose to have the cleanest shadows?
(1) I'm rocking the faithful picture profile due to the quick turn around times and full length edits I offer
(2) This wedding was around 800gb however it's really dependant on the events of the day - but to put it into perspective ~30 minutes = 128gb
(3) The batteries last very long - I have 6 for my 3 bodies and have never ran out before the end of the day
(4) I happily shoot up to 3200ISO without any drama
(5) I just expose for the skin tones and then crush the shadows in post

How much grading are you doing in post? Are you just crushing shadows or are you having to do any other color correcting?
When you say 6 batteries for 3 bodies, do you mean 2 batteries each for the entire day?
Is 1080p @ Super 35 usable? Does it have the same ISO performance and gradeability as 4K?
raredreamfootage not too much man - tweaking some levels if I have to, making sure all the cameras match and then just a subtle LUT over it all
Is 4K Motion JPEG hard to edit directly?
No.
The color is super, but dude, where's the full-length footage?

Looks good bud. The blacks in some of the scenes look a bit crushed. However the edit, pacing and shot selection are solid.
We picked up a trio of 1DCs when they were on sale recently for $3999. I'm looking forward to shooting a full wedding in 4K. I just have to stock up on 256gb CF cards. That PhotoJPG codec is a hog.

I used the faithful picture profile on all 3 bodies - with only sharpness turned down :)

Beautiful!! What ND filter did you use for the outdoor shots? e.g. 2:33 to get the shallow DOF with the zoom lens
Adam I didn't use one Adam - I just had an insanely high shutter speed (probably like 1/4000)!
WHAT!? You broke the 180 degree shutter rule and the world didn't stop spinning!?
Do you ever have any issues or ruin any shots by having such a high shutter speed?? (thanks for the quick reply too!)
Adam obviously it'd probably look better with the correct shutter speeds but it's a wedding - I don't have time to mess around with ND. Did you notice/did it look bad?
No it looked fantastic! That's why I assumed you used an ND -- I've never even tried shooting with high shutter speeds because I assumed it would ruin my shot but I'll definitely have to try it myself! And yes - messing about with ND's is a pain, I was considering upgrading to the C100 mk ii for that reason but I've been binge watching your videos and the 1DXii is looking wonderful.
