I had the best coop experience in my life playing conviction with a friend ... we played every mode possible and it never got old ... I love this game for that!! (Side note: I live in Germany where they have a lot of famous voice actors for movies and videogames!! Sam Fisher and Nic Cage share one who is absolutely badass!)
I think Blacklist was like the perfect love child of Conviction and Chaos Theory. Was very pleasantly surprised. Having said that Conviction is super fun and I can't even count the number of times I've played through the campaign as well as the time trial modes. Can't go wrong with either game.
I liked blacklist much more, conviction was just straight up action, blacklist actually gave you a choice, you couldn't even move bodies in conviction ffs. (still a very fun game but just didn't really feel like splinter cell.)
TheBanana Man You can actually GHOST in Conviction (If You want) but it is hard, and just like in BL, it's your choice If You want to straightly kill them in assault style.(excluding the forced action sequences)
TheBanana Man I agree about not moving bodies, but, at least, the bodies can be hidden in dark in Conviction where in Blacklist they are like "WHERE ARE YOU" and then they straightly go to a EXTREMELLY DARK AREA and find your body wich is in that DARK area. Oh and You can hide in shadows in Conviction, seriously, a Splinter Cell game where you can't hide in shadows?(Blacklist of course) the AI dumbed down, and You sadly cant hostler your weapon in BL. The saddest part is that there was no SC at E3 :(

I need to replay BL because I remember the stealth in BL being the same as the other SC games starting from Double Agent.
