He's right , i live in Basra and it does suck , the biggest problems in the city are the slums and the super bad infrastructure , it's also one of the dirtiest cities in Iraq it also has environmental disasters like all of the small rivers of the city have been turned into sewers and almost all of the thick palm tree farms have been cut down , but there are a few decent looking places but it's probably like 10%
