8D audio is actually so cool but its not necessarily just hearing that something is like near you (like you said) its very hard to explain but 8D audio you hear something at like a different frequencies, tone, vibrations etc. being blocked and it basically messes up how you hear things. like for example some 8D audios are like hearing stuff going "around" you. i love it and its so trippy.
