Not too long ago a female friend of mine asked what was up with my changing dress style. I told her I now had a personal stylist. She just looked at me weird in an unbelievable way. I just had a stoic look on my face. She was puzzled. Then she was like who is she. I said Ashley Weston, she had clearly never heard of Ashley. I kept it serious with my friend. But you can have some fun with friends and style if you make it fun, yet remain composed about it all.
😍
I'm gonna use that 😂
Just goes to show you how much females actually pay attention to details like that!
LOL I love it
Prior to the pandemic I wore nice Oxford shirts and chinos to the office and everyone thought I was nicely stylish (thanks to you). But now that I’m working remotely I’m mostly in Tshirts and jeans. I do miss the days before the pandemic.
I hear you on that. Still something to keep in mind is to just though you may not go to your office as often, you can just maintain the dress style when your running errands to places you still frequent or going there. You can still look stylish while out and about even if out still less than before the pandemic.
Great video. I like how you show the outfits and tell the names of some of the pieces. As someone who knows next to nothing about fashion, this is a godsend cuz with this, I can just look up whatever piece I like.
Thanks Ashley. One of the big draws to your videos for me is exposure to brands I may not be familiar with and Lethato falls in that category. Please keep those brands coming.
Ain't nothing wrong with a murdered out outfit. Black chinos, black Henley, black Chelsies. 🔥
I started wearing chinos about two years ago, and I love them. Thanks Ash!
Your production is so useful and full of fun at the same time. Keep up the good work.
Glad you enjoy it!
FINALLY someone explained the different options clearly and distinctively
I absolutely love business casual and find it really easy to dress for. There is way more flexibility than business formal where you have to wear a conservative suit all the time as with business casual you get to style and mix all the best looking pieces in men’s clothing like sports jackets, nice dress pants, chinos, dark denim jeans, sweaters, all different kinds of collared shirts, all the different kind of dress shoes and boots etc.
At the company I work for you can dress casual so I can dress at the business casual level very freely without having to worry about breaking any policies or rules. I don’t wear suits at work or normal casual events like going out for dinner (I will usually go with a sports jacket) because I like having that extra gear available to me where I can easily take things up another level for special events.
Hey Ashley, thanks so much for the video. You're great!
You're so welcome!
With winter around the corner i would certainly need some guidance regarding beenies, socks and gloves! ❄️
We need more of these videos 💙
Loving the casual bumper in
Love all these outfits!
Love the lethato boots. They look awesome.
Love the business casual vids
These are great! I unfortunately find myself in a conundrum where I work in IT and want to look presentable but have to be ready to crawl under a desk at a moment’s notice. Needless to say polos are a go to haha
miss Ashley Weston is the best I watch all her videos.
Wore my suit today women always giving e smiles and compliments and tea and coffee.
Im watching this as a butch lady since my first caeer job is around the corner. I like all of these looks and Im excited to try them out and expand my style :)
Love all these shirts!
You are simply the best
As an overweight individual I struggle to find clothes that fit me properly, but your video have given me new ideas
Two thumbs up!
Got my notebook and pen ready to take notes 😀!
Have fun!
@@MensFashioner thank you! For look #10 are those chinos or dress pants?
Ashley, you’re so beautiful. Could you do a video on something in between street wear and casual? 🤗
What about henleys, can those be I corporated as well as an alternative to a polo?
Trust me guys when your well-groomed the suit is a magnet for women a well-tailored suit you can't go wrong.
Oh, i came before someone did a summary^^
Ashley do you have the link for the pants posted at 1:55?
HI Ashley! Been a long time watcher, first time commentary. Wondering what you would recommend for footwear in the winter? I live up in the great white north, and I notice that you show a lot of styles with no-show socks. That isn’t really viable for half the year here. What are the best kinds of socks and footwear to wear when the temps drop below 32?
Just offering my personal opinion here. For socks, I'd say something that contains wool, even recycled wool. Of course you can't go wrong with dark, plain colors. You could probably pick a pair of insulated mid-top leather boots resembling chukkas, possibly with reinforced soles. I've seen plenty of them in Scandinavia and these people can't be accused of sloppy style. Though I've also seen plenty of sneakers :) You should probably avoid looking like someone who just climbed the Khumbu glacier and lost his crampons.
Is long sleeve polo a versatile piece of clothing?
Business casual, intimidating? What? That's what Ive always gravitated towards naturally.
I love this woman. She’s the best
You're the best!
Looks like the REAL key is that everything is skin tight
5:19 I'm confused by Outfit 4.
I was under the impression that ties without blazers were a no go.
Didn't Ashley say this previously? Or did I imagine it?
Not a fan of that outfit. Specially the no-sock look when you’re not on a boat or the beach.
I have black jeans that almost look like chinos. But, when paired with a white button down I look like a waiter.
Speaking as a woman, waiters are typically well put together so you may just be psyching yourself out of a good outfit... but maybe try a gray or light blue button down if you can't get over it.
We are forced to wear Company logoed Polos... Not bad but gets old. Also we have to wear steel toes as we are expected to spend time on the production floor. I found a pair of steel toed sandals from keen which has mixed reviews :)
You should make a video for chubby guys. Me and most of my coworkers are husky
Flirty 😝
I used to LOVE chinos. To my fellow husky Gents, do yourself a favor and DO NOT wear them to work. Wear either tapered/slimming/tailored slacks, tech slacks, or even golf pants honestly. The reason: Chinos are thick and slightly baggy, even the "slim" ones. Also, they don't have that sharp look. The material usually makes them look too much like corduroys. Having a slimmer leg not only looks more neat BUT it also helps with the proportion of pant size : shoe size. This is important because most dress shoes are flatter and pointier than casual shoes.
Good stuff as always Ash but Lethato footwear shown here looks super gaudy.
I feel like I'm the only person out there that hates the polo. I do the short sleeve button up.
❤️ from 🇧🇩
❤️❤️❤️ 🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩
Shout out to Initech, lol
Can you do a video on how to get a good suit? Can off the rack be tailored and be ok?
Who do I email at that address?
That was a fake account, pretending to be me! Please report and ignore!
HEY YOU! MAKE A VIDEO ON SHORTS
ua-cam.com/video/gjBrAUfRlXQ/v-deo.html 😉
Do you have a video covering how to start building a wardrobe if you are starting on a corporate career? Maybe your first “big” job and you don’t have a lot of the essentials?
No tie without a jacket, unless you’re a bus driver
Someone once said rolled up sleeves and ties don’t go together…. Guess they were wrong.
For me, 'business casual' is shorts and a t-shirt, because I 100% telework. I rarely see my coworkers in person. In a way, it's kinda unfortunate, because I have all these nice clothes in my closet that I have no use for anymore.
I still wear business casual for Zoom meetings and some in-person social engagements.
Don’t you ever go out? Social events, birthdays, weddings, religious holidays, even a simple restaurant date on a Friday night, the theater, opera, recitals, etc. There are so many opportunities to wear “nice clothes” even if one works from home. And who said that at home we should dress in sweat pants and t-shirts? My friend’s father, who unfortunately passed away a few years ago, always wore dress pants, dress shirts, cardigans and dress shoes at home, even though he was a retired old man. Clearly he belonged to a different generation. I’m 33. Even before the pandemic I was spending a lot of time at home, and didn’t have a regular 9-5 job. I always wore (and still do) polo shirts and chinos at home, with a sweater in colder months. When I go to Manhattan (I live in NY city) I always dress in what one could describe as business casual. Somehow it makes me feel secure and confident. I feel like I’m a member of a professional community of people who respect each other, even though way too many people around me dress as if they don’t give a damn about anyone seeing them. No respect towards the public whatsoever.
And I always dress up when going to church, musical or social events. At some such events, suits and ties are expected. Some events are black tie.
First !
I’m 47 years old since high school I don’t know how to match my shirts or pants shorts or shoes I’m always been embarrassed to ask 🤨
Anyone know what happened to Dorian?
Is this video a repost? I could swear I saw this before....
Why do youtubers always take these above average good looking fellas that is perfectly pristine. Take the regular good looking guys that aren't perfect 😂.
The images pass a little too fast, sometimes I can’t even pause on time.
Go to.... wing woman 🤓
Good Lord, all of the models are...models. Very (very) few working people are built like those guys. How about some style tips for guys who don't look like they just walked off a Calvin Klein shoot?
Yeah, that's true. The reality of the situation is that it's much easier to look sharp if you're in shape and your posture is good. This applies to both sexes. Fortunately, unless there are medical conditions or higher age, this can be fixed to some degree. Nearly everybody can exercise and make changes to his diet (like stop eating sugar). But of course, it's not possible for everyone to look like a model, just like it's not possible for everyone to run like Usain Bolt :)
Who goes to work with exposed ankles?
I dont consider jeans buisness casual, I consider them smart casual. Ankles should not showing either, that too is more smart casual
I've never heard of smart casual as distinguished from business casual...? where I'm from they both mean the same thing, but I'm an American west coaster...
Step one. Be slim chiseled and lean. No outfit is ever gonna make you look fine if you are out of shape.
Good stuff...though all of these people are beautiful and would look good in anything. Get some weirdly proportioned peeps up in these outfits. :-)
Ashley gives a lot of good advice. However, in almost all the images she uses as reference, the trousers are way too slim and short. Not only is it an example of extreme fashion that will look very silly in the future, this “future” has already arrived and such narrow cuts with low waistline and super short length, aren’t even fashionable anymore. Look at some of the most stylish men in Europe - England and Italy, and you’ll notice they do not wear such trousers. The reason mid range department stores keep selling them and the salesmen keep pushing the customers to buy them, is because many factories that sell to these department stores haven’t yet readjusted to the new fashions and keep producing millions of skinny pants that must be sold.
My advise for guys is to aim for higher waist and a more relaxed (and thus - comfortable) trouser leg, with an elegant taper below the knee and a very slight break at the hem. Also, the “sneakers go with everything” trend is also getting old. Instead, invest in good quality Italian leather loafers.
not a fan of tie clips, they always just seemed like an unecessary accesory, a bit old fashioned for my taste
This is all well and good...but what is up with leaving out the morbidly obese man? All of these guys have six packs
Somehow your content serves the usual American, overweight office worker. As an European engineer, I have better taste than you do, from my perspective.
By all means please make a video and enlighten us tasteless yanks 🙄
Little to no bigger guys. What a shame.
Isn't Ashley and advocate of hiding shoelaces? If so, it seems a bit disingenuous to tout the gold tips of the shoelaces 🙄
Well, she sure is trying... If you are a "man", then you know- you NEVER take "style" advice from a female. Just like you're not going to take a females advice on hunting, fishing, riding a sport bike, or fixing a twelve valve cummins. Some things are just a no. Sorry dear.
Well, you sure are trying not to be a jerk... sorry it didn't work.
@@Elemiriel the truth has no feelings. enjoy dressing your husband
No such thing as acceptable "mankle"
Its always off putting and wrong looking.
Love the video, and I didn't expect the "let's change my hairstyle and introduce our stylish sponsor for this video" 👍🏿
Thanks again Ashley!
