Bought the same color Rub X a few weeks ago. I got the one with the winch, hard top/dual top group, 24Y package. Love this beast so far and our 1st Jeep. Only been on interstate 1 time. Road very good, bride was happy about drivability. Last check was 14.3 on trip computer. Will check manual to see. Yeah, not a fuel efficient ride. Infocenter is great ao far. We ordered the screenprotech for the 12.3 screen. Applied the screenprotech to my Tacoma Pro and Honda Touring.
@@blj_1970 that’s great to hear that you’re enjoying it! I have the screen protech on my truck for my infotainment and driver gauge display and I think it’s awesome.
Thank you! I’d love to be able to afford the Rubicon 392 (and the gas for it!). Yes, they’re K02s. I won’t be surprised if they start coming with the new KO3s soon
I just bought a new Jeep Wrangler Willys. I found a product by Overland Outfitters that is useful for holding the phone plus other stuff. They made a pouch that attaches to your front passenger grab bar by the glove box. It's very useful and comes in different colors.
@@claudetheruler I believe on all, although I’m not 100% sure. I will say, these days the X is what’s more widely available as the 2 door model isn’t as desirable.
@@juanrosa2653 idk why people say that. Like many vehicles, when properly maintained they can last a long time. Also, it’s important to modify them properly and I’ve seen plenty of examples of people going cheap or taking shortcuts to save a few bucks and then end of having much larger and more expensive issues.
I have the 24 and the back seat cup holders haven’t changed on the rubicon’s. The cup holders are in the center seat arm rest and there are no cup holders on the floor.
I’ve found that expensive is a relative term and that how much difference there is between regular and premium can vary wildly depending on where you live. Where I am it’s about a 0.30 difference and the Wrangler has a 17.5 gallon tank. Which means if the tank was completely empty it would cost 5.25 more to fill up. That’s noticeable and overtime could add up, but it’s not that much more really and most people spend that much or more on a cup of coffee. That’s also way cheaper than any fuel additive that would claim a performance boost. Additionally, it’s not required to run premium so if you didn’t need/want the performance bump, then use regular.

I’m not a mechanic and can’t speak to whether or not it’s a fact. However, the 3.6 pentastar has been put in so many vehicles, that I wouldn’t doubt you’ve heard people complain about them. I haven’t heard of many issues myself from people who’ve had them. So it could be more of a platform related issue for one reason or another. It would also be important to look at the percentage of engine that have had issues (not sure if that would be realistic though). The number alone doesn’t mean much. For example: hearing 10k engines have had problems might sound scary if 100k engines had been produced, but if 1 mil or 10 mil were produced, then that number isn’t nearly as scary.
3.6l pentastar engine in the Jeep has been the most reliable engine to be used in the wrangler. It’s been used in the wrangler since 2012, and it’s relatively reliable, not much issues at all considering there millions out there. It’s the most reliable compared to the other options like the 2.0t the 3.0diesel and the 4xe. I don’t know anyone personally who’s had issues with the 3.6l engine. I’ve got 2 myself, a JT gladiator rubicon and a wrangler rubicon JLU, both been solid. My brother has the diesel and it’s has a few issues already, nothing major but nonetheless still issues.
If u buy a wrangler with the 3.6l v6, chances are you’ll be fine and won’t have any issues. There may be lemons out there but it’s been solid for millions of people. I’ve owned Toyotas and I can say that imo the 3.6l engine in the JT and JL are as reliable as the Tacoma v6 engines in the gen1-3 Tacomas.
@@00ninja00 I agree with the 3.6 being good and that the reason people hear of issues with them is simply based on there being millions of them out there in so many makes and models.
I have a 2012 JK with the 3.6 that I bought new. Currently have 230K on it. I had to replace rocker arms at 200K, outside of that and general maintenance it's been the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned. Still have the original clutch and exhaust on it as well.
The only time I have had an issue with the wind has been with the hood flexing in a 2014 Wrangler. Thanks for the in depth review.
