I’m confused about the transferring talents part. You hatch with a desired pet with a 4(20) gargoyle, then level up desired pet to adult then hatch that new pet with the og pet till the talents copy over?
Great video! I've watched the whole playlist multiple times as it's packed with info but as someone who's new to hatching, you go over some stuff pretty quick so it's easy to miss. I've got my 4(20) gargoyle base and am a bit confused on the mega hatching steps. Is this correct? 1. Hatch 4(20) base with target pet (lets call it pet T) until the talent pool is fully copied (when no more common talents are left). Let's call the pet at the end of this step pet A. Hatch pet A (trained up to adult) with pet T. If 2 talents you want manifest on the new pet (pet B) keep it as is. 2. B is your new base. Keep it at adult with 2 manifested talents. Hatch B & T. Continue training the offspring of B & T until you either get all 5 talents you want or until a failed manifest (trash this pet). 3. If you have a failed manifest, hatch B and T again and repeat step 2. 4. Repeat 2 and 3 until you get the talents you want. OR 3. Instead of continually using pet B, do we use whatever offspring has manifested the most talents we want since manifested talents are more likely to appear in offspring. For example, Re-hatch B and T to make pet C. C manifests 3 talents at ancient. Hatch C and T to get D. D manifests 4 talents. Hatch D and T, etc.
Using just pet A with 2 manifested talents that you want and continually hatching w/ the mega and sending them to mega will eventually get you the final pet you want. The other OR step 3. you put can also work if you are skeptical about only using an adult and hatching w/ mega over and over. If thats the case, you can hatch A with the mega and create pet B and train to ancient w/ 3 manifested talents that you want to increase your odds of getting the pet. IMO, having epic bases isnt necessary as you already invested half the xp needed to get the pet all the way from baby to mega so why not just fully invest if you have an adult/ancient base too. I think you might also be confused a little. You say "For example pet A doesn't manifest any talent we want at adult." in only the second step 3. Your pet A in first step 3 can very easily not manifest 2 talents you want so you'll need to hatch A and T regardless to get an adult pet that has 2 manifested talents that you want. (And then self hatching is a completely different thing from mega hatching). I know I go fast in some parts so I'm planning to re-do the shorter guides very soon so there is absolutely no confusion.

If you dont believe in sticky talents then why does it matter that for the bases you need the talents manifested? Wouldnt any pet with the pool be good enough?
It has always been known that having the desired talents you want manifested on bases helps boost the chances of getting those talents again. However, that is not what people consider "sticky" talents to be, which might have confused you. "Sticky" talents are those that keep manifesting over and over even if you don't have it manifested on any bases. Or some consider them to be talents that are hard to get off the pool. In either case, there is no sound evidence to conclude that they are true. The best thing to do is to have bases with the talents you want manifested. Even if you believe or don't believe in sticky talents, it should be logically clear that doing that helps your chances of getting the pet you want. You're not going to hatch a pet with critical talents manifested if you don't want a critical pet, right?
skill issue 🗿 jokes aside: there are always 4(20) gargoyles in the kiosk. You are probably searching for it wrong. You can click left once to go to the mid point in the list and then click right a bunch. They are sorted by manifest pedigree so just keep clicking until you get to 4 and you will find some
First Edit: That whole sticky talent I feel is BS, I did have an experience with a pet that I keep training failing with death boon at mega, but I wanted spell defy so I just kept on hatching it until I got it. how do i get the fire hamster? sorry if im missed it in the video, i haven’t played wizard101 in 8yrs & i just started back up. so im just a bit confused
Deckathalon
What if the final desired pet has a wow factor of 9? At what point in the process so I attempt to interject that?
if ur final desired pet has a wf 9, it wont be much of a challenege to get the right body back if you made a 4(20) beguiled gargoyle which has a wf 10.
have they changed pet hatching? last time i made a pet it only took maybe like 4 hatches to copy the talent pool in order. I hatched like over 10 times now and the order just keeps changing
Rng
@@Wenius so if i hatch but the new baby pet has less talents in common order with the pet im trying to copy, should i trash the new pet and hatch again with the older gen pet or hatch again with the new pet even though it has less talents in common order.
Does a 4(21) base pet work or should I go for 4(20) base?
It works but ideally you want the 4(20) in case you want to create custom pools in the future. Also make sure it has max stats
What's the name of that free pet lending discord? Paying so many emps on other servers is a bit wack
Ferricord discord.gg/sjDfmAqc
But if you hatch with the gargoyle it’s not going to be a 4(20) pet
Should I use a pet that’s only at an adult and hatch with another adult gargoyle? This makes no sense to me. I have an enchanted armament but it’s mega and has shit traits, can I still use it to get one??
you continually hatch with the gargoyle to make it a 4(20) pet
This is so confusing... the information just seems far too dense and skips several important bits of information. Like how to get the base pool or how to get the max stats.
You just hatch over and over to get the pool and max stats. It's not that hard.
@Wenius I just watched your pool copying video and it cleared up quite a bit. Though now I'm questioning what I'm getting myself into with setting up Isos and getting a full pool of Hampters to form a full pet.i have gardening started but need benefit to fill out my fields. This is definitely long term and will not help early. Thank you for the resource warning xD I've got a long way to go
@@N0FoxGiven If you're making just triple doubles and quints, you can hatch with rins or montosos pools in the kiosk instead of making pools that are already created. DM on discord @wenius and I can send u the pics
How do you make the 4(20) Beguiled Gargoyle pet?
By continually hatching with one

I can't for the life of me find a 4(20) gargoyl in the kiosk
skill issue 🗿
jokes aside: there are always 4(20) gargoyles in the kiosk. You are probably searching for it wrong. You can click left once to go to the mid point in the list and then click right a bunch. They are sorted by manifest pedigree so just keep clicking until you get to 4 and you will find some

Edit: That whole sticky talent I feel is BS, I did have an experience with a pet that I keep training failing with death boon at mega, but I wanted spell defy so I just kept on hatching it until I got it. That definitely took me a while, but a good amount of snacks and a month of hatching on all wizards to repeat the cycle, I finally got the pet that I needed. I definitely had very bad rng for it to keep failing like that, but that’s the nature of pet training. Good video
how do i get those base pets?
which one
@@Wenius ive got it thank you for the tutorial tho ^^
Wenius solos ferric every time
New player here.. im only lvl31.. and no matter how many videos do i watch about this pet thing. Its so confusing, makes me light headed. I dont even understand half of the shit ppl say either lol
this is an advanced guide, what about beginners
i would say this is intended for everyone as it's just copying over a pool and making a pet that way.

so i need to self hatch two adult bases (that dont have talents i want) until i get two bases with the talents i want?
if you get into that situation yes
@@Wenius also do i self hatch the two first bases i got until i get the talents i want or self hatch with the new base (has talents i dont want) i get from the original self hatch

💀 hate guides like these because like... where do I start? Like I can't start at the hamster because then I need to learn how to farm deckathalons to even get a hamster and when even is the next one starting? If I need a myth hamster, and the myth deckathalon just happened, aren't I waiting *months* for the next cycle?
I have a pet body I like. It has shit stats and shit talents. I have a bloodbat with max stats. I have another pet with the perfect talents. I want the chosen pet body to have the bloodbat's stats (or at least close enough that it doesn't count) and the talents from the other pet. Where the hell do I start.
Beguiled gargoyle is for beginners.
They said blood bat was the best to start from scratch
No, bloodbat is wow factor 1. Basically the worst to have
