As a kid and first time facing him, when he yelled HADOUKEN… SHORYUKEN my jaw dropped to the floor 😂😂😂
Wait till you see him do Shoryuken and you thought jumping over him was a good idea. And when you thought "Ha! I'LL WALL JUMP YOUR SHORYUKEN!!!" you end up dying because the lava below rose up as he did shoryuken. 🤣🤣🤣

This music is way too cheerful for a traitor who hid himself in a volcano.
It kind of gives a feel that he can somehow be redeemed, and that he'll repent for his actions.

Pretty sure that's a reference. Just like how X can do a Hadoken back in X1.
While his stage has never been my favorite Dragoon is probably one of the best bosses in Mega Man history.

My dad said he played this when he was only 8 years old and now he is 32 and he said it had the best graphics when he was a kid but me I think they still look nice but wait for another 20 years I bet they will think it looks horrible
Damn, I kinda want Capcom to do a spin-off game where you play as Magma Dragoon up until he betrays the Maverick Hunters.

This is good but the theme of slash beast in sega saturn is really beautiful
So shocked they didn't make him a special guest character in any Street Fighter game.
They made a mod for Ken in SF6 to use MD's skin. That's the closest we'll ever get to that.

I feel strange vibe of Anakin and Obi-Van fight on Mustafar from this theme. and even lore so close - two characters, who were friends in past, fighting in volcano because one of them turned evil. and even when X defeat Magma Dragoon, Dragoon also cutted in half and don't have one arm, as it was with Anakin in the end of his duel with Obi-Van (he also was cutted in half and one arm was cutted). and this theme have some vibes of theme from Mustafar.

@@th3azscorpio I have not played any Megaman games after X6 so I don't know if he is referenced in a way after that but in X5 one can fight him again, in a way, if one plays the training mission he is the boss of that stage, which makes somewhat sense since as he used to be a Maverick Hunter seems natural for the Hunters to have a lot of info about him to create a simulation for training purposes.

He Brought Fists to a Mech Fight
This is one of the few maverick fights that even in the endgame, stills requiring a lot of skill and reflexes (with Zero, obviously, the true X4 protagonist)

in Japanese it is called "magmard dragoon", while in English it is "magma dragoon", so its name does change, making the only name that does not change is "Split Mushroom"

@Forcysteus He takes after other fighters besides those three . Did you ever notice how he used his Hadou ken the same way Sagat uses his Tiger shot? Or how he had one of Oro's super's and Dhalsim's Yoga inferno super? They went nuts giving him moves from Street Fighter. But why did they need to give him Supers? He's dangerous enough without them.

@@Tyranitar66501 It was actually "Magentic Fields 2," but the main melody does actually have a Latin sort of rhythm to it, even if the rest of the track is more of a straight 4/4 rock beat. I could see someone doing a remix of this in a samba/Latin-pop sort of style.

in megaman x5 they re-built magma dragoon (since you can verse him anytime) but not iris XD

Subject: Magma Dragoon
Title: The Martial Artist of Exploding Flame
Pre-Maverick Status: Commander of the 14th Special Unit
Bio: Magma Dragoon was a superlative martial artist, who perfected his own unique form of fist fighting.
He was a high-ranking Maverick Hunter, commanding the 14th Special Unit, and became acquainted with X and Zero of the 17th and 0th Units, respectively. Secretly, Dragoon craved a fight-to-the-death duel with the two legendary Maverick Hunters.
When Sigma offered him a chance at this dream, Dragoon agreed to work for him.
Sigma ordered him to destroy the aerial city Sky Lagoon, so he sabotaged the city's power reactor and had the giant Mechaniloid Eregion wreak havoc for good measure.
The Sky Lagoon crashed onto the city below it, which not only killed thousands of civilians, but resulted in Repliforce (who were patrolling at the time) being blamed for the incident, pushing General to start a bid for Reploid independence that led to the Great Repliforce War.
Then, Sigma ordered Dragoon to work for the Repliforce, and aid them in their coup d'etat.
After the Sky Lagoon incident, Dragoon hid in a volcano to await X and Zero for a fight.
Once they reach him, he boasts about having deceived them and demands a battle.
When defeated, he apologizes for his actions, confessing to have done so for the chance to fight X/Zero, and that "he" (Sigma) offered him that chance, which he simply could not refuse.
Dragoon then dies afterwards.

Jet Stingray, Web Spider and Storm Owl have no evil intentions at all. They have just been framed by others and Follow the commander's orders, then forced to fight the hunters only because they dont lay down their weapon, and they planned to leave the humans alone How is that more evil I can't tell

i remember that every time i reached the fight with this guy without my mech, i restarted the level all over again cause this motha fuka was too dificult for me to defeat with only my sword.
