This is the first time that someone explains it in such way that I can remember it. Thank you. Very clear.
I agreeee
3:36 "If you have any questions, feel free to shoot!" That was a good one.
As someone who's beginning to take photos outside of my own family only, this was extremely helpful. I watched another video where someone said to always setup your camera to AI Servo. I did that and was wondering why I couldn't use the focus and recompose method without it refocusing. Now I know why. When shooting stills, I need to be on AI Focus. When shooting moving subjects, I will need to switch to AI Servo.
Pana cand si din comentariile de mai jos se intelege cat de clar si la obiect ai prezentat . Cel mai bun tutorial ! Keep going !

Very Nice Explain .

Thank you, well done.🙏
Trima kasih penjelasannya, thanks for explanation
Thank you, for the video!!
Thanks that was really helpful
Thank you so much for the clear explanation of these modes especially AI-Focus. I owned a 6D for 10 years now and still is not quite sure what AI-Focus does. Just played it for a bit and it appears initially recomposing does not move focus but you start changing focus. But once you start moving on your feet with that camera (while holding down AF button), focus starts moving and then your recomposition can change focus. I think is this a rather smart implementation because we mostly likely do not wish focus to move for recomposition but movement on the ground means focus definitely needs to change now.
I also ran with various speed at ninja walk pace, normal walk pace, jogging pace. Focus likes to wait for you to settle down before refocusing when you are slow. Become more active in searching focus if you move fast. I like that. I think this works well with my L lens for anything less than sport shoot. I use AI servo and burst shooting then but even then it is hard to get nice shots of the key moment. Oh well 6D burst is not that fast anyway...
That is a long feebback...cheers
Big thanks you are number one
In sfirshit un Roman fotograph care imi place cum face aceste lecti! Bravo!!! La mai bine!! Multumesc pentru tot ce faci!
+Adrian Radulescu thank you....😊
+Adrian Radulescu thank you....😊
on a wedding when the bride and groom are at the altar do you suggest AI focus? because they sometimes move and lose focus, or what camera settings do you suggest?. thanks.
very helpful,, thank you Sir.
Super👍 Thank you
Thanks :) Very clear.
Ευχαριστώ πολύ!!!
It was a good tutorial, short and useful and a nice russian accent
strait forward explanation, very helpful!
Frankumentary you forgot the gh
Very useful and simple explanation..thank you
i am still trying to focoos to be able to understand through his accent
First video I've seen of yours, and I will certainly look for more.I have the 7D mkII and as most of my photography is birds I have my C1 set for AI Servo and my C2 on One Shot for sitting birds. However as I use the Sigma 150-600 f5-f6.3 Sport with 2x convertor and then I have to use my override on the lens at 600 as the camera struggles with any lens that is over f8. This is different than setting a f1.8 lens to f16 as it handles this easy, I don't understand the science in all honesty, I'm just an ex chef with a law degree so not the smartest on science.
Nice very well explained
One thing nobody ever mentions about AI Servo, is you can't use the AF ring on the lens to adjust the focus. You will just end up fighting the camera.
great video , thanks
I like this comparison. I experimented on both AI Focus and AI Servo. I really did not see a big difference because my subject is not moving fast. I will trying with real action soon. I agree that AI is not reliable but that's probably 'safer' when you don't have much time to take your shots. I did try manual focus and I can be creative and more accurate -- but only a few times... so many blurry pictures most especially if time is short (takes a lot of practice, I suppose).
fideo go watch soccer in park shoot the players
I think this is the best intro ever
Thank you very much
Great video..Thx a lot ...................
Confusing I'll have to watch it again.
My camera has a contrast focus system that has more difficulty with tracking focus. Apart from tracking it has Contious Auto Focus and normal auto focus.
I think that if your camera or you are not good or fast enough, you can increase the amount of usable shots by increasing depth of field, through reducing your aperture to a high(er) number. You may need to shoot slower (motion blur), or increase your iso a bit to compensate for smaller amount of light that gets to your sensor.
Great information
Can you explain white balance BKT explain .
It's very difficult topic . Pleas upload one video about how can we increase and dicreas colours.
Superb explanation. Goes straight into the mind, thank u very much ✌😎
Thank you
hi! very helpful vid.
which do you suggest for street photography ai focus or servo?
Thank you
Thank you 😊
great video!
+asianbumz thank you
AI Servo - Camera constantly looks for focus (no beep) ... probably what I'll set my camera to for photos of my kids tomorrow.
AI Focus - Stagnant subject (not reliable)
Shooting moving subjects is not that simple. Fast subjects are very difficult.
Can we use ai servo setting to shoot stand still object in a super windy condition? For example a portrait session but because it's so windy the object's hair and dress is flying all over?
Very helpful
Thank you.
Thanks to you I could fix my problem I thought that my camera was flawed jwjjajaaj
Thank you!
The first 5 seconds of this vid was golden
*good job sir*
Well said !
thankyou.
Grt sir🤩
hi. grat tutorial very useful for me. thanks. may i ask about several focus point in ai servo. i guess i am having problems with groupal moving shots.
What is that intro music at :0:16 seconds and also used as your outro.
ok, but can you pls explain flex zone AF { } / Flex zone [] /and /quick mode please? In addition, the settings on Canon for BBF would be a great video. Can you pls help w. those settings? I think its under custom settings. Thanks.
Thankyou.
So, AI focus would be ideal for like a portrait shot where the person could make slight adjustments such as right after you have placed a focal point on the eye? Or should I just stick to One-shot and refocus?
Thanks.
i have aD610 and the focus points all so packed into the centre of the sensor its so hard to your the continuous and keep good framing... especially vertical shots
Thank u
I'm still confused about using the AF-on back button in AI Focus or AI Servo mode. So I was always using One shot AF on my Canon 80D.
How I know that I have my focus look when I using Al Servo? (No sound of locking)
Intro👍🏾💯
I can only assume that these modes are the equivalent of my Nikon's autofocus modes, normal Autofocus and Continual. It might be helpful to mention that if it's the case, particularly for those who just learning.
yes...
thanks for feedback. I will take into consideration
Great video. I am curious: how fast is your camera focusing in AI servo mode? I feel like my focus time is slow to adapt as i change where my lens is focusing. Using a Canon 7D mark II with Canon 100-400 II lens. thank you.
Depends on the camera...pretty fast
Do I need keep pressing the focus button or Do I press only once and will the locked on the subject?
what lense have you on the camera? I am looking for a walkaround lense for my 7D mkii and would appreciate your advice.

It is indeed a matter of practice. I am shooting with the 5D MK4, and getting the eyes of a flying bird (e.g., seagull) into focus is quite tough.
Maybe time to upgrade to R5 or R6
@@Academy-of-photographythank you for your reply! I am toying with that thought. Since this is an entirely new field to me, I am really uncertain whether to go for the R5 or the R6.
@@chrisconcoco Go for the R6 if you just starting, 20MP are gonna be just fine for you and you can save some money for lenses, having basically the same system of the R5.
I am what I call my self a railroad photographer I take pictures of trains moving at speeds of 40-60mph most of the time but I do not have access to this sort of gear and my images still look good!
If you are wondering I have a very simple Nikon L340
great intro so as the topic description. have a question related to shooting kids (moving). should I use AI Servo or AI Focus?
Try both
Thanks for your reply
I wanna know about AF Methods, i.e. FlexiZoneAF, Live mode & Quick mode.
I will make a note and try to see if i can do a video about it
