Sergei my man, cover the wounds and the pits. Good luck, happy trails, and profitable rides.

The whole mission of UBER was to provide cheap transport; they are doing a great job, and making millions for the board of directors.

The mission was to make millions, cheap rides were the tools to get it. Giving opportunity for driver’s to make some side hustle money, hopefully doing something they enjoy also, Giving people an inexpensive ride… full circle, classic Capitalism. I like Uber and others. Great way to get around in foreign countries without renting a car. Keep the interesting videos coming Capt. S

Tank tops are a big no no for a driver.

Show respect to the passenger and they might show appreciation to you

No reason to convert CDN to USD since in Canada all our costs are CDN as well as expenses, so you really can’t compare your trucking being paid in USD from US earnings.

You must try to look professional and wear a shirt with sleeves . You are not at the beach or working out.

there's no such thing as "professional" driver. "professional" implies you spent 10 years in college becoming a lawyer, doctor or architect. I have a 5 star rating as driver on LYFT, and the three traits people note most are: "clean car", "friendly", and "good driver". Nobody gives a f**k what color my shorts and socks are.

Pretty sure that both apps, UBER or LYFT, will give the customer an estimate when they start a request, no point in giving them advice about that.

No tips seems insane. I didn’t know people tip nothing. That’s horrid

You need to look smart the vest is a terrible look. Wear a linen shirt if it's really that hot... collar is a must.

Wow, amazing that you have to tell them they are being recorded, it's a commercial business, it's your rights. For instance, it the law in Australia that taxis have a camera on all the time, for both driver and passenger safety, it's just a known fact, no need to tell anyone.

Hey Sergei, I have a heavy haul question for you. Does Ontario have a resource available to find out active oversize load restrictions on their roads? I might be moving my first piece of equipment into Ontario next week. We have an Annual Permit but of course that isn't route specific, so I was just wondering if there's any way I can check my route for any restrictions. Thanks Captain!

Are you pretty much finished with DoorDash? Or do you still do food delivery occasionally?

i still carry a thermal bag in my trunk, but taxi work is definitely much easier. I often get another ride while i'm still finishing the previous one. No need to park and go inside the restaurant, and then wait till your order is ready. I only use Doordash if it's really slow with taxi work.... and it makes me feel like a homeless person.
