I love how they decided to finally let this game's music come full circle after all these years. Even if objeively inferior, hearing a new take on "allies" after all this time is so nice and happy.
@Sevastous err... "allies", as in a take on the musical motif present in other songs in this game. In other words, it uses the same melody as the games main theme, but our time we haven't had a proper reuse of said melody in a new piece for multiple years at the time of posting.
maybe that's this and Eu4 OST as a whole is soo good, It's soothing harmony with ups and downs but most importantly compliments the 8 hours non stop save grind rather than looping loud epic tracks

This is Scandanvia though. So not technically allies, neutral countries without factions. But still involved in conflict
