Praise God Hallelujah Amen. Love this man and what a blessing He is. Look forward to meeting him in Heaven. Anthony Burger best pianist . Thank Jesus for this man, his music what a glorious miracle and inspiration ! Amen
To those who turn up their noses at classical music, just know that pianists this good always have a strong classical background. Anthony was no exception.
@@davidclemons9714 Yeah, me too. I'm just not willing to put in the practice required. I once had an instructor who told me I had what it takes, but I needed to be prepared to practice a minimum of five hours a day, six days a week. I don't have the drive or discipline for that kind of work. I hate practicing.
Here it is 2020, and I still can’t get enough of his talent. Such a wonderful person. Still miss him after all these years. He was the greatest piano player Gaither ever had!
At about the 1:45 mark and for about the 10 seconds is absolute perfect timing and he knew he hammered it! The best pianist to grace southern gospel music ever - period!
In case you didn't know, that was Gary "Beaver" Dillard. At least in southern gospel music circles, considered one of the very best all time greats. Quite shy by himself, but a beast with an instrument!
He starts wit Last Date as a comical thing. Anthony was a great talent. His 2 brothers Randy and Clinton own a music shop in my town. They are great people!! R.I.P. Anthony!!
1961--2006 ANTHONY BURGER THANK YOU FOR MINISTRY WONDERFUL INTERRUPTION & MEMORIES ! OVER YEAR'S. MAY THE ANGLES WATCHING OVER YOU! GOD BLESS YOU! HEAVENLY PEACE NOW ! UPDATED 10/12/2018
FYI-in an interview here on UA-cam, Anthony told of his musical up-bringing. At around a year old, he burned both hands when his baby walker got caught in the grill of the floor furnace of his home and there was little hope of his gaining full use of them. Well, the doctors were wrong! The Great Physician MADE it happen because He had a plan for Anthony. Then, during a Gaither cruise, Anthony suffered heart failure right on the stage and went to his Heavenly home with the Jesus her served so faithfully. Another video shows what was believed to be an angel at Anthony's side just before his last breath. What a great God we serve!
perhaps the most talented band of the itme or any era. in country music most if not all the band can play and sing, but in gospel music it doesn't appear to be that way. in anotehr video on here they have what's called the blugrass quartet with i think the band but they're all singing instead of playing. i don't know how often they got featured singing, but i wonder how jim kept them together as long as he did. must have been loyalty because most of them could have got jobs with other groups as singers. and certainly got paid mroe in other industries. other than gold city perhaps best band of the 90s and i dont think other than tim riley's son who took over as baritone after mark left the group any of them could sing or if they could were rarely if ever featured doing so.

As a piano player they start out learning on the classics. So it’s easy to see their love for them!

No one better than Anthony.

We miss him but he’s playing in Heaven.

It takes a lot of practice, I didn't (practice) and I can't (play like that) lol.
His fingers just dance on those keys. Anthony is tops.
How could anyone down vote this? Just wondering because Anthony was a master of the keyboard and exciting!
MUSIC at its best. If you DON'T get that feeling, then you might miss the boat. R.I.P. Anthony.
Anthony was so funny and his facial faces he made when he was younger. He was the very best piano player I have ever heard
God given talent! Gone to play with the Lord! He was amazing!
Gary Dillard too 😢😢😢
Pretty good for a fellow who can't use his hands! With God all things are possible.

A blessed and loved man. A miracle, God blessed him and blesses me every time I hear him play and sing. Amen
Many videos on UA-cam. Praise God.
No slouches in this bunch!
Go Garry Dallard, you killed those instruments.

I wish someone could find me the time when he tells what happened to him when he was a little boy and got his hands burned.
Do you know where I can find the whole performance on DVD?
Amazon. Also search and hear him on UA-cam. Fills me with God’s spirit every day when I see and hear his videos.
Could you send me the link? I’m struggling to find it.
Sounds like Floyd Cramer's "Last Date".
Exactly. One of the piano classics.
That is my guess also. I only have Sounds of Sunday. It isn't on it.
Was that a pedal steel built by the legendary Buddy Emmons?
Yes. Well designed by him and others. He had to sell the company later and it is defunct now. Gary Dillard was a great player. RIP
Yes, but can he play “chop sticks”?
Nobody like Anthony!!!!!
LOL!!! Play a Jesus song!
Anthony Burger is overrated, but he plays good though
