This song really seems to bring out the hateful part of the fandom, but I still love it and think it's one of the better Fearless TV vault songs. That little yodel she does toward the end is just...*chef's kiss* 👌
The "Vault" songs were written at the time of the album release they are linked to; but the re -released albums are very close to the originals in terms of production and overall sound (replacing the original, lost masters). She gets to work a more sophisticated mix on the unreleased songs, frequently turning to Aaron Dessner (folklore, Evermore) and Jack Antonoff for production. And, she can exploit both her improved voice, and modern production tools to better effect the sound she wants. Vault songs sometimes don't sound like they fit the album; I think they better reflect who she is now, rather than back then.

Fearless Taylor's Version is the best re-recording so far, this album has a special place in my heart, one of my childhood go-to-sing in my bedroom.. this song is also good

Same! This song could've easily been on Dawson's Creek. I could see Joey being the one who's telling Dawson goodbye and driving away to be with Pacey. Dawson really blew it.
Anyways, I like this song. And I like playing it on a rainy day to sink into the mood of the narrator and just listen to their story.
Sometimes, the song just plays in my head when I'm alone and quiet at home lol. Good stuff.

I am shocked on the reactors that are reacting to Taylor. I just started my channel at 62 years old and retired. And my channels kinda shocked me because as my first video I chose Taylor because it was Monday Night Football and Chiefs were playing and seen her on TV so I figured why not. Let's start with Taylor and apparently the Swifties adopted me LOL.

The Red album and Speak Now album are infinitely better albums to listen to. I can't understand why people keep asking you to review Fearless which is 16-18 year old Taylor Swift's music they should know you're not going to like... unless that's their goal. It was a vault track for a reason - it wasn't good enough for the regular album. Edit: Jamie keeps deleting my comments where I've explained that I didn't know about requests being something you pay for. I also apologized to Charlotte because that made it seem more personal to her than what I meant. I actually LIKE the song. I've said this in several comments now but Jamie is embarrassed that her reaction was so unjustified and over the top ugly by calling me a lunatic. She amended her original post with the excuse that it was all autocorrect's fault. If that were true, she would have let my responses stand, not deleted them where I told her that her extreme response was proof enough that the term lunatic applied more to her. Calm down I said. I didn't kill your puppy. I expressed an opinion. Moderators are supposed to be mature, fair and just. In other words MODERATE. This girl has let her power to delete anyone's comments that critique her, go to her head. Ugly behaviour from Taylor's fans makes us all look bad. I am taking screen shots of this whole debacle that she has now deleted...what is it now Jamie...TEN comments calling your behaviour out? You're a disgrace as a "moderator" and as a fan. Shame on you.
I actually like the song but this reactor spent decades absolutely hating Taylor because of one bad performance he saw that he didn't initially like from this exact era. My comment was simply voicing a concern that he might get turned off once again because of songs Taylor wrote when she was a teenager and more inexperienced on Fearless than on Speak Now or Red. As she matured, there's no denying her songwriting got better. I've stated several times that I didn't know requests were paid for on livestream and apologized to Charlotte if my comments therefore, seemed more personal than I meant. But, if you've been following the comment section today and yesterday, Ivy and Jamie keep deleting my posts because I've called them out for their nasty comments to me and to "62yearoldreactor" below. Jamie's response to my comment was to call me a lunatic. Then, after I called her out for being so over the top harsh, she went back and amended it to make herself look better and to save face, not allowing me the same, all the while deleting all my comments systematically from, not just responses to her personally but to other commenters. This is also true of Ivy. As I've pointed out to them, moderators allow civil discussions and are supposed to be fair and just. These girls mock people, show utter disrespect and contempt and delete any comments that call them out for being bullies not moderators.
This isn’t 16-18 year old Taylor. It’s Taylor’s Version. And since you clearly didn’t watch the video, he DOES like this one. So If you have a problem with the requests, then go to the livestream and pay for your own. Just because some are vault songs does not mean they “weren’t good enough” for the album. Lunacy.
Nobody is forcing you to watch it, and if you want something else come and request it yourself.
I’m going to say this nicer because there is no reason why anyone (the one who replie🙄) should belittle you for your comment or bully you by calling you names, especially since this is not her channel. The one that replied being nasty instead of saying it in a kinder, better way, seems to think that because she pays ridiculous money on reactors pages for suggested songs and thinks because she suggested them, that channels’s success is because of her and her bestie. They act like the only Swifties! This channel and other reactors were well known before her and will be after she moves on to find glory somewhere else. Now @madelinewise8692, you are correct in what you said. Most of the time and especially her first album which has not yet been re-released, some of the songs he does not like. He likes more of the newer versions because her vocal skills improved. You also have a point that right now Taylor is coming under attack by haters of who she said she was going to vote for in the Presidential Election and laid out the reasons in a coherent, researched and intelligent post. So yes, there are people out there who would love to see him react like he did to “I Hate That Stupid Old Truck” and “Shake it off”, (Taylor has even said that one can get annoying sometimes, but it’s her biggest hit so she performs it for the fans). I disagree that it was not good enough for the first album. The record company chose the strongest songs they thought would do well. Taylor only had a small amount of input into her first album. She may have wanted it on there, but the execs probably thought it was not country enough. Please remember that everyone has the right to their opinion and I could see after the past two weeks of the majority of Swifties fighting for our girl and telling people off that, you might have thought they did it just to put something negative out there. He liked the song, sang several bars and said it was good. It was not a reaction like his favorite one which I think is “I Did Something Bad”... it’s a rep one.... sorry 2a.m., pain meds just kicked in form my rolled ankle and my brain is saying 😴😴time. 'infinitely better albums" is a matter of opinion. People's tastes can differ. I despise tea, and drown myself in a couple pots of coffee a day. 🙂🙂 For Taylor, it depends on my mood. I like all the albums, and listen to them somewhat at random. I don't do playlists; just put on the album.
re: good enough. actually, she released the original Fearless with 13 tracks because . . . . 13. She added the deluxe tracks before heading overseas (many artists do) because the album had been out some time before the Asia leg of the tour, and because music is taxed very heavily in Asia. It improves sales (albums and tickets) and gives them a reason to come to the show. At the beginning of Road to Fearless, she tells an interviewer that she'd written over a hundred fifty songs --- songs, not concepts or fragments. Not everyone likes her choices for the albums; but she has said there are reasons why each song is included. They mean something to _her_ or they wouldn't be there. But space on the albums is limited; and so far, she didn't flood the internet with unreleased songs, which would actually undermine her sales.
Don’t like her , sorry. Monotone voice . Same tone though out the song. Her voice is the same on every song. Just my opinion.
