This was fun to watch! Thanks for taking us through your process. I know almost nothing about sewing, so seeing the full process was educational. The dress turned out gorgeous! ❤️

Thanks for watching ❤ Please read👇 FAQ: Ques: What are the exact measurements you used for the back piece? Ans: The back piece is wider than the front piece because of the train it has. I used 3 yards of fabric. Yes, the back was more than the front because of the train at the back. To achieve that, I added 8” to the center back, and 15” to the hem of the back piece.
Lovely, but what I don't understand is how you got a cut together train with it while still retaining the stretch horizontally, cos I tried using 4yrds of velvet but I couldn't get a train out of it without me making the grainline vertically. I hope you understand me

Thank you so much for watching 🥰 I didn’t use a breast pad or breast cup. The fabric is stretchy, so it fits perfectly without any pad or cup. I just wanted it to have that princess dart look.
Ma I mean from my shoulder to knee is 39inch I mean, how many inches do I need to minus from d 39 as in how many inch do I need to go up to get my knee instead of marking my knee at exact measurements. I don't no if u understand ma
Oh okay. I understand now. The knee line is 19” from the waist. So just add 19” to your half length measurement to get your knee line measurement from the shoulder.

Please can 2yards be enough for just the skirt?
Yes, but it won’t open much at the bottom. You should use 2 and a half yards, or 3 yards. 3 yards is ideal for this style.
