U gave me a sense of normalcy!!. I am so grateful for a bit of Internet to see your video which is usually part of my weekly routine. I am in the virgin islands and the past week and a half (since hurricane Irma) has been rough. You give me something to look forward when we get back on our feet. Thank you!
You look fantastic in that. Also a tip for taking the sides in, if you put the garment on inside out and then pin or clip however much you want to take in at the sides, you can then take it off, draw out the seams again to make sure it's symmetrical and then sew. It seems (ha seams) like a little more effort, but it'll save you from having to keep taking it in over and over again, and it'll save you thread as well.
thank you! after watching you simplifying , Iam no longer hesitating on making my own mermaid dress since I can't find my vision gown online, moods here comes momma!
I found you two days ago and I haven't been able to stop binge watching every single video! I don't even machine sew (mostly because I don't have a machine XD) but I just HAD to watch this one because that dress is fab 👌 Your whole look is fab, you're amazing, honey!
Okay I'm not even 15 seconds into this and uhhh BABY while the dress is everything i need you to bless me with where/how you sourced that HAIR!!!! ##snaps UP go head baby!!!!!
It looks great! If you want something less scratchy than tulle, I'd recommend organza for the bottom. It's equally lightweight and poofy (and cheap), but it's smoother and won't catch on things as much. And if you want to ruffle fabric before sewing it on, organza is easier to handle (in my experience).
Furnace in an unfinished basement is such an editorial contrast for the look. I have no doubt it was mostly a matter of where was available, but it rocks.
I absolutely adore this!! It's such a stunning colour and you did such a good job making this gorgeous dress!! As a bonus, it also sort of doubled up as a tutorial on how to make a tulle "tutu" skirt on its own, as well as a dress :) Beautiful!!
i actually have a long skirt i got on sale 20 years ago that i was wanting to upcycle into something fun...well thank you!!! now i have to fix my sewing machine and make me a meowmaid dress! course i gotta add some skulls to it. but this process you showed should have me puffy floating in no time! course i have to deconstruct a few things now to make it but cant wait!!
LOL I filmed this over the course of a couple weeks cause I used a different colour of tulle initially then it didn't work out and had to wait for a second shipment to come in hehe
You are amazing ! & your definitely giving me DREAM GIRLS ! You did an amazing job on this look Hun ! & im happy you found this look easy and useable !!! Thank you also for shouting me out !! Definitely appreciate you !! Xox 💕💕🌹🌹💋💋🙌🏾🙌🏾💎💎💎
ohhh that total look is promisingly successful! ...though you're missing a good necklace to bring it all together! Finish off your special look with an incredible HUGE statement chunky necklace statement piece... VOiLA! Fabulous 👸👸👸
sewing it that way can get messy especially for any beginners.. I have an easier way.. I probably will make a tutorial for it.. overall great overall look.
+CiCi Nebula omg! Not awkward at all u were so sweet! I would have asked you to sit and eat with us but you walked away hahaha hope you had fun at dragcon!!
Would it, in theory, be possible to make the body of the dress slightly longer, essentially taking the place of the chiffon backing, & sew the tulle in the same spiral pattern directly to the dress bottom, but upside down, starting with its upmost location at the knee & spiraling down so that when the dress is righted, the tulle lays correctly...?
You should def do more. You basically taught me to sew

What model is your sewing machine? I want to sew too but Im not sure which sewing machine to buy. Thank you
You could also pleat the organza first to your desired length then sew it to the chiffon. I saw my seamstress did it before.
So beautiful
Looks just nice
sewing it that way can get messy especially for any beginners.. I have an easier way.. I probably will make a tutorial for it.. overall great overall look.

If you add horsebraid to the bottom of the gown,it will be look more flowy and puffier!!! Btw i love your creation tooooo
This is beautiful . Thanks.
If you take your high chest, bust, and waist round it will be snatched every time. Love this!
Wow!! Love it!
Luv your hair girl! Where can I get a wig like that?
Tanks a lot, its help me for doing my traditionnal wedding dress 😘😘😘

Woow amazing 😉 love it 😍
omg its a nice dress
How did you sew the tuule on.... Was it folded in half?
I do it straight from the bolt where it comes folded in half, but I sew along the folded edge so it's essentially two layers at once :)
How many yards would you say I need for the bottom part of the dress?
This was a 40 yard bolt, anything over 25 ish should be good!
SLAYYYYY! This was great! Going to use your tutorial to save a prom dress for my niece. How wide was the bolt of tulle?
54 inches!
Thanks for the quick response! Just subscribed :)
I know this is an old vid but where did you purchase the bolt of tulle
amazon :)
Thanks
Serving! Thanks for sharing
Girl I don't sew or make my own shit but I always love these videos lmao
