Hello!
How is this comment 5 days old if the video was uploaded 3 hours ago?
Nice delete and re-upload
I have half dollar(1973) coin and I want to sell my half dollar coin
Hor
"Let me call an expert"
Pats phone starts ringing
Lmao!
Sends a text back I'm busy
Then the AVGN shows up.
Yeah, I think he knows more about these than anyone.
So true lol, he is the NESpunk
They called in a expert. Bro. Pat (the seller) literally wrote the book on NES games
But the seller also is bias. So that means nothing
He might even create them.. But that doesn't mean that He knows at what price it sells. And why didn't He sell those to the People He obviously knows
Its called ghost writers.
This was long before he wrote the book. But yeah, he knows more about it than most people
@@etch250 Pat the nes punk
Takes it to gamestop:
“We can do $5 or 20 in store credits”
Rick: best I can do is 5 cents you know I’m taking a huge risk here, it’s going to take a lot of time on the shelf and the community is really narrow
IGN Rating: 4.5 out of 10
More like sorry we can't take those anymore
most stores wont even make an offer on games that are $1000 + , just not worth it for them to have that much cash tied up and the market is extremely niche and unlikely to walk into their store
😝
Would’ve been cool if the “expert” they called was the Angry Video Game Nerd
Lmao James says they're fake and takes them home
@@rake1087 I laughed way too hard at that😂😂
@@rake1087 he blows them up lol
@@rake1087 he would say both cartridges are fake and overpriced and would proceed to bash them with a hammer
Love James, but I don't think he's actually the best expert on game pricing. 😁
“I have played them, with a friend…” You know, those are the absolute best kinds of Easter Eggs. ❤
1:40 I don't wanna tell you what I paid
3:09 here's my bill of sale showing exactly what I paid (12.5k)
Yeah, and he offered him a 15k, that is a very small margin. The store would make a lot more than the seller. This is a very low ball offer
Well, he never said he wouldn't *show* him. He didn't tell him, he showed him.
Lol forreal I thought the same thing
@MY CATS COOL 1 Did you see the time stamp? Check 3:09 and tell me if its blurred out
2 If it was blurred how could I have known he paid 12.5k?
3 If people are still willing to pay those prices... then that IS the current value of those items!!!
Lol, wow, thanks for "pointing" that out
Whoa, the VAAAAAALUE!!!!
Whoa, I've seen someone talk you out in a chat, and here you are! Wow what arethe odds
So can you explain how the casting works?
Saw this a long time ago didn't think I'd see you comment on this today.
@@fattahrambe
Most of these are NDA. Can't talk about it.
Tbh I’m glad you didn’t sell them
I love the “I’m not telling you what I paid for this”. Fast forward 6 mins in. He’s paid $12,500 for the gold one as per the cashiers cheque in 2011.
Ouch
When he says " I have played them with a friend"
Hilarious because that friend is the angry video game nerd episode.
Didn´t he destroyd it in the end :-P
@@ralfheubner6054 if you watch the very end of the video….no
Nostalgia
@@ralfheubner6054 na he destroyed legend of Zelda also a gold cart
They played the reproduction cart actually.
This episode is such a damning example for when someone asks if Pawn Stars is fake or not. Yes, it is. Pat did not want to sell these things.
Fake implied that their is no pawn shop or people with actual historical items. These segments are set up in advanced because it's a controlled environment. You can't just have the shop staffed by the stars and let anyone come into the shop during filming, trying to hog the camera.
What? You mean reality tv is staged?
Just cause pat is fake, doesn't mean pawn stars is.
Pat did want to sell them…. For 35 thousand. Pawn shop wanted to buy them for less. Hence no deal made. Sounds pretty legit to me.
@P1 Styles I went there once, they have some of the items from the show on there and specially labeled, “as seen on Pawn Stars.” I am pretty sure that none of the people from the show actually work in the shop. It was all random people.
The Nerd is currently hunting these down with a hammer 🔨
Pat has no intention of selling these. He got paid to go on the show 😂
Everyone does
He even made a video later where he ended up selling them on eBay, and added 'As seen on Pawn Stars' next to the title.
Which is actually a genius move. Unless you are desperate for cash RIGHT THEN AND THERE, you might as well go on the show, get it appraised and advertised on TV for free, then sell it online for way more.
Hahaha that is exactly what I thought
@@Praetorian8814 He could be months before it's aired though!
@@xand5090 The value on those is only gonna go up because of the rarity and how infrequently they go up for sale. Haven't seen how much he sold them for but I would guess probably more than what he was asking for from Chum.
2:58 "The label looks right"
It was literally cut out and glued on by a Nintendo employee 😂😂
This was a hit piece to get Pat traffic on his channel. No one believes he'd actually sell them.
show is fake anyway, anyone with a brain would just sell them on ebay to a universal audience, no one sells stuff like this in pawn stores anymore, not unless they're very desperate for drug money
He would have sold them for 35k.
@@fwef7445 OR if they got laid off from their job and are having a hard time making ends meet, or is everything valuable that sells for a low price by someone "drug money" to you? If this show is so fake, then why do you watch it? I would have walked away with $15,000 if I would have paid at least $5,000-$7,000 less for those to begin with. I am not trying to be PC, but people who assume when someone sells something valuable for much less than it's worth is for drug money should be hit along side the head with a 10 ton wrecking ball.
@@fwef7445 there are people who prefer the traditional way, pawn shops are still a thing especially such famous ones there are some benefits from selling things like this for both the seller and the buyer and i totally understand why a lot if people still prefer it
@@maliant16 no he wouldn't he asked for what they're worth because he knew they wouldn't pay it
3:09 He purchased the games for $12500
good eyes
Awesome catch!!
Yeah that's what he paid for the gold cart. Not both
I agree! As they are both extremely rare!
Jeez a gold cart is at like 50k today
Great move from Pat to go on the show to show the world that they are for sale. I'm sure he knew he wouldn't get the price he asked for.
Hmm. You're right. I always thought it was kind of funny how they low balled him, but kind of sad how he obviously needed the money. But you're right, he probably did it to show the world what he had. I can probably find out by googling it, but do you know if he sold them?
Rick: Let me get a buddy of mine.
*AVGN* Walks right in...
That would be the best anime crossover of all time.
This might have broke the internet if that happened!
Wasn’t these games in that show that he played
For all the people seeing this for the first time, these carts go for much more now than these prices back then.
Absolutely right
2024 reporting in, a much worse condition gold cart (missing label) just sold for $207,000
@@reverv5211 Maybe James Rolfe took that label off because Pat reminded him that Elmer's glue was used to have the label stick onto the cartridge.
Pat wasn't planning on selling them anyways lmao
Im sure Pat went on the show to get exposure and find that $35k buyer
He can get 120k ezy on em now
The Grey NWC cart alone sells for more then $40K ..
It would've been funny if the expert had been AVGN.
Sign?
yeh well james lives on the east coast. texas is over 1000 miles away...
Infact, Nintendo has actually been around for 130 years. Not 5 years prior to 1990. They started out as a hand-painting company - selling hand-painted playing cards. They also sold other goods throughout the years, Nintendo is the most popular brand in Japan. So much history 😀
Nintendo stated in 1889 ..
Alright QI
Someone watched the race track episode. 😆
nintendo console 1985 sold for around $140 $150 came with like 3 games

Rick: “ You have to keep in mind that I’m going to have to frame it. And it’s going to up so much real state”

(Reseller Alert!) Watch out for Wario. I guess that's how the pursuit plays out.
I love flea market madness
I like how he didn’t want to say how much he paid but then shows the bill of sale lol
He just didn't want to say what it cost.
At least he didn’t take them to GameStop he would’ve gotten 10 bucks in store credit. 😂😂
And then they would’ve kicked you out if you don’t take the cash
Nah. He would have owed money on a xbox he didnt pre order.
Would of been cool and funny if the expert they brought out was James Rolfe.
Oh man, the conflict
At last the game owner used his brain and walked away if that was rick can offer you 10k I have to frame them auction fee etc etc😂😂
Its Pat the NES Punk, hes somewhat famous and had no intention of selling them. It was staged just to show off the carts
They went up in price since the show the grey cart goes for 25k and the gold one sells for 75k

Makes you wish you kept your old retro stuff. I had nes, SNES, sega master system, turbo grfx 16. I wish I had kept those 😢
You can’t get these ones in the store
Brian Matzen yea those are exclusive to the tournament Nintendo had in the 90s. Still remember watching it as a kid. The wizard was one of my favorite movies growing up.
Lookup ANGRY VIDEO GAME NERD....AVGN.....NINTENDO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS.....this guy is on there
i still have the megadrive. Think i threw away the SNES :/
A lot of people did and most of it sells for less than the original purchase price. It's only certain games that are worth a lot and that's if they're in such good condition.
This is an insult to the retro gaming community.
Pat just pretended to sell these to give them spotlight.
These are fake. Everybody knows the Angry Video Game Nerd smashed the real ones
Those weren’t real ones if you seen the ending

Good job Pat, don't let these go for cheap scratch.
I heard the *1up sound* when Chum said "limited"
I didn't know Pat the Nes Punk was on pawn stars! That's dope HAHA!
I've seen a couple of the greys in person. The label on Pat's grey is awesomely beautiful. It's not scuffed up, and hardly has any translucent patches. What a treasure.
Pat the NES Punk is the biggest tool in retro gaming. Change my mind.
Dude is right, those things are incredibly rare
The gold is closer to 100 grand now and the grey carts go from 15-25 grand now.
Not sure where you pulled that number from, the gold has never sold for more than 27k, the grey is catching up in value though
Rick: I know a guy who knows a lot about Nintendo games let me get him in
15 minutes later Mario walks in
There is a gold one on eBay right now for 100 grand. Mind blowing.
Chum: let me call a buddy of mine on grading these retro NES games
Mario walks in: it’s aaaa meeeee Mariiooo!

He offered that man 15k for two super rare NES games? What a smack in the face. I would have taken no less than 25k
We need the chum coins back

I would have bought it just for the novelty that AVGN touched it.
“I’m not aposed ta make super big deals.”
Lmaooooo
LOFL!!! Chumlee using highfalutin terminology.
“Ihave some concerns if that’s how limited they are”. He literally pulled up an original magazine stating how limited they are. Then offers him $15,000 for them, when all the other ones are owned by collectors who will never sell them I. Their lifetime.
1:14 the AVGN
About a million people just went to check their Nintendo collection!
Pat's face when Chum says he'd like to bring someone in.
I thought, the angry video game nerd is the one who sells those cartidges! 😂
When Chum says he needs to speak to an expert and his customer is THE expert for 8-bit NES. ROFL
“Yeah I played this with a buddy of mine”
Me: “don’t think I didn’t remember what happened with him and avgn”
Does not want to disclose price he paid for games but presents a bill of sale showing 12500

AVGN Should have been there
Would have been great if the expert pulls out pats book for verification
Finally this vid in good quality, Frank will be proud
and the full one think the one on here for years only had the first half.
I'm going to bring in an expert? But, you're dealing with THE expert.
Why does the seller look like the Alvin in the Chipmunks, the guy who said "pewww pew peww"
They called in a expert when the seller Pat is literally the expert.
HAPPY 38th BIRTHDAY TODAY CHUMLEE!!! 🎂
Seller clearly had no intention of selling. Even if his $35k valuation were true, $32 leaves no realistic margin for a pawn shop to make $. if you're going to sell to a pawn, you must be willing to accept that there is going to be a considerable loss. Pawn shop is not in business to bet. They will either be guaranteed to make $ on whatever items they buy or else close up shop. Seller struck me as haughty, didn't like him either.
This is the stuff I subbed for
35k for both cartridges is a steal.
Good thing he kept them they tripled in price and I talk to pat once in a while he still has them

$35 k would be a steal for both of them now.
The gold cart can vary in price dramatically, one sold for over 100k I think about 5 years ago. I think this was a gold opportunity to make Bank and it was missed especially considering these were the real deal, a lot of counterfeits exist unfortunately.
The expert mentioned that Nintendo had only been out for about 5 years in 1990. He clearly doesn't know Nintendo's history because they were around in the 1800s as a playing card company.
