Saw them on their first proper tour, supporting Napalm Death in 1990. Excellent band and a great live performance - I felt they never quite got the credit their talent deserved.
There were so many good bands of that genre- a true massacre i must say- everyone was stomping-shreddin-screaming back then- faaaken golden era
Gold fuckin era
I discovered CF on that Napalm tour too, the London Marquee club, best venue in London, a real shame it closed
love the tasty early Celtic Frost inspired riffs
I got this cassette in 1990 while being locked up in a state mental hospital along with king diamond - Them and 0zzy - The Ultimate Sin.
back in the day, listening to these, exhorder, obituary, xentrix, powermad and overkill... happy days :)
Great selection of bands.
All have their own style.
Yeah, yeah Powermads "Nice Dreams" is still one of my all-time favorite metal songs & Overkill are still going strong recording & touring all these years later. Not so into the other bands you mentioned there but definitely a big fan of those 2. Have seen Overkill live 2 times: 1st was headlining along with Dark Angel & Wolfsbane on December 13th 1989 in Orlando Florida in a concert billed as the "Super Bowl of Speed Metal". This show was in support of "The Years Of Decay" LP & was their last tour as a 4 piece with Bobby Gustafson on guitar. 2nd was: February 27th, 2006 at the Star Central club in Columbia Heights Minnesota headlining with Prong as the opening act. Had the chance to chat with vocalist Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth after the show & got him to autograph the long sleeve tee tour shirt I purchased at the merch table. Couldn't have been any cooler to me - it was plain to see how much he appreciated fans of the band. Fun night!
Bought the album when it was released. Still listen to it regularly - It's brilliant! Saw them supporting Obituary in McGonagles, Dublin on the 6/5/91. 🤘
Great album! Takes me way back.
Culte des mortes is better than I remember and I thought it was great!
My rotted, maggot infested teenage brain was subjected to this great album at the susceptible age of 17. I haven't been the same since. To this day it's one of my favorite metal albums. Hail Midian!
It would have been great if they found someone who could sing
Killer album 🤘
Super underrated
Closing Irony ..is Sacrilege (UK) cover
Heavy thrash that has great sludge riffs and killer vocals. I dig this very much. Might be their best album you tell me. The real thrash mayhem with a dose of death!
I agree brilliant album got this album around 25 years ago heavy as f$@k I'm surprised they weren't bigger though , such epic riffs. I use to listen to Bathory aswell viking black metal / Hammerheart !.
Totally agree! Fantastic record!
Forgot what a monster of a song "Quest for Midian" was!
Unity for who? MASTERPIECE!!!

Unity for who/Enter the turmoil makes me wanna bust out a move lol, I learnt about their existence from a 91 documentary : Grindcore special issue.
In that documentary, Neil Hadden wore a pinhead t-shirt.
@@omnivoro73 yeah
