yea im no negative nancy but its hard to be hyped for a game that hasnt been in the market for a good year or two.
You realize how bad algorithms are when you stop playing cod. Haven't played for a month and feels like life is better. The whole game is designed to keep you playing while you're not having fun. Refreshing to just hop on XD play a few rounds, then hop off. Won't buy next cod. Maybe treyarch
@@naphzit didn't die it got too big and the servers couldn't run it. And it was an indie studio with little expectations. This is ubisoft with ex cod devs and ex pro cod players making this game. And it already has a massive following and the dev team actually listens to the players on feedback. Xdefiant is not going to die at all. It'll be around for years to come. Now this game is not going to kill Cod either. The only thing that can kill cod is cod itself

@@conor-_C no. And it will probably get another beta test before release which you'll have to sign up for on their website. Given where the game is now tho it'll probably be fully released by the end of the year.

Tim they are going to make it where you can stay into the same lobbies when you select one game mode.
I do like that Tim enjoys playing what he likes but at the same time I'm happy he's finally at the very least trying new games like Star Wars and Elden Ring coming up.
It really enjoyed the beta. Looking forward to the release. The sniping felt sooo good.

the lobbies do remain the same in some battlefield 2042 modes like TDM and Rush. pretty cool

Ubisoft using assets from other ubisoft games, that is their thing. 2 of the maps are from Ubisoft games. One map is from a missing in Watchdogs 2 and another map is from Tom Clancy's The Division.
Split gate was one of the funnest games to release in a very long time. But with the portals I was just no good at it myself and I can admit that. I work so much I couldn’t take the time to get good at it but it was an amazing game I give them that credit.

The map design is honestly what stood out most to me. The 3-lane format works really well with the abilities and doesn't take away from the gunplay. The level designers definitely knocked it out of the park.
And 14 maps at launch. Free to play with more original content than a full $70 release. As long as Ubisoft sticks with it I don't see a reason to buy COD anymore.

persistent lobbies are in the game but you have to have one single mode selected. if you choose multiple modes, it has switching lobbies
I haven't played CoD in 8+ years, defently not playing ever again now. But I've been having the competitive FPS itch with all the CoD talk (plus I was tempted to get the latest MW2 since the OG MW2 was my first CoD) so it's been boiling up the past few months. I was concerned about classes when I first heard about this game, usually games with classes have one OP class, but it can be done right/balanced.
The UI reminds me a looooot of COD Ghost. Look at the kill markers, from the little skull to the style of the text

the lobby does stay the same as the OG cods so if you get a "GOOD LOBBY" you can keep it :) its a great game

To answer your question, for a decent portion of the games I played it was with most of the same players. Every third match it felt like I would get kicked to a match in progress for whatever reason

@@skaynne54 honestly I can't remember. All I know is he mentioned those games eluding to the tick rate will be like super super high he evene mentioned a possible number but again I don't remember. Ymif you want go on Jevs channel and find his xdefiant or cod killer vids and somewhere in there he mentioned how he has talked to the devs about the game and issues being addressed

Killstreak in XDefiant just means you got a few kills in a row without dying. What Tim is talking about are like COD killstreaks where you get a cruise missile or a chopper gunner after a certain amount of kills without dying.

Honestly if they were never to change xdefiant I’d still say 6 years from now that it’s 10x better even with little content cod just isn’t worth the time to play anymore especially when they don’t listen to community but xdefiant Is constantly listening and communicating which is a key factor to why there doing so good already cause they know what the community wants and they actually give it to us it’s perfect for a beta it’s beautiful

This game and the finals is going to be great for FPS gaming.
This game does not kick you out of the lobby so long as you’re cueing for a single mode, and don’t back out. I believe that’s the case. Regardless there is a situation in which lobbies do NOT disband

Xdefiant is okay imo I got to play about 10 hours of it but it’s just idk it’s just more of the same stuff we’ve been playing for over 20 years. Like there’s nothing really that makes it stand out from any other arena shooter it’s just the same old stuff with a new paint job. Because it’s free to play I think it will have success at first but as soon as people get done grinding ranked and grinding camos after a few months I don’t think it’ll be able to sustain much popularity. There just isn’t enough there. People are just labeling as the cod killer cus they are pissed at what cod has become and want to see cod fail so they’ll maybe make better games again but news flash guys no matter what you are never gonna get that same feeling from cod that you did back in the day. I don’t even really put all the blame on the state of cod on the devs either cus our community is just a cluster fuck right now. So idk I just look at this and I don’t see anything special about it

It's just bo4 but in the ubisoft universe ... But to me that is better then mw22, vanguard, mw19 and even cold war. It's genuinely a much more fun experience then cod of today's standard that cares more about selling u stuff then it does about fixing anything or listening to anything the community says. Xdefiant is an actual game not a business model.
