It’s really a beautiful area and the ancient theatre is amazing as well as some other ruins.
Agreed - they seem to be doing a very good job of restoring some of the Roman ruins and historic points of interest around Plovdiv.
The guy with the red jacket told you it's a construction site. That's why it was closed, it's dangerous.
