Walking the Entire Cotswold Way - Painswick to Ryeford

- The Cotswold Way - a truly beautiful National Trail stretching just over 100 miles. It begins in the charming market town of Chipping Campden, meanders south through the heart of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and finishes in the historic City of Bath.
Join me on this series every Sunday as I set out to walk and film every single step of this stunning trail, sharing the entire journey with you from start to finish.
Part 9: Painswick to Ryeford - 7.7 miles (12.4 km)
We begin this section by descending from Painswick to cross the Wash Brook, then climb up onto Edge Common, where we can enjoy lovely views back over Painswick. The trail leads us into woodland, emerging at Haresfield Beacon, an Iron Age hill fort with stunning views over the escarpment and River Severn.
From here, we gently descend through Standish Woods, where spring brings vibrant displays of bluebells and wood anemone, and continue our journey into the Stroud Valleys. Along the way, we pass through peaceful cornfields, before finally reaching Ryeford, the end point of this section.
With 1033 feet (315 metres) of ascent and 1082 feet (330 metres) of descent, this section offers a lovely mix of climbs, descents, and scenic countryside, making for a satisfying walk.

I use Davinci Resolve Studio 19 to do some really basic editing. Mainly making sure the sky isn't over exposed. It's from Camera straight to UA-cam. No cuts, no fancy business, no talking, just walking.

Beautiful views from that hill despite the rain, but it looked a bit windy for an umbrella! 😄
It got quite blustery up there on the tops! I wasn't expecting the rain. Fortunately though it blew by fast. I'd say this section is a contender for one my favourite parts of the Cotswold Way.

I noticed the corn field, and I was like, "Where the heck are we?" Is Frodo and friends going to stumble out into view with their hands full of stolen vegetables?
Anyone know what kind of trees those are in the first few minutes?
I believe they are English Yew trees.
