I love his honesty about how outsiders are treated in the Bollywood film fraternity... He is a great actor .....bow down for your thoughts kaam se pehchaane chahiye naam se nahin.... rightly said 😊😊😊😊
The problem is whole bollywood is medicore
@@raja-jl9osexactly, like what Shahid said people are not being valued for talent. Bollywood is full of people within the fraternity and is hostile to outsiders. How will bollywood have good content if they dont value talent over background? Its no wonder very few Hindi movies nowadays are worth watching.
@@raja-jl9os we don’t call it mediocre, we want feel good movies, for example Abhishek Bachchan’s movie Ghoomer wasn’t appreciated well by everyone but it gained cult status on OTT platforms but instead people go watch Salaar and other masala movies. Why not go to movies that will make you feel good, nowadays bollywood this year is giving hits after hits after hits, feels like 2019 is coming back
@@rgseven6557they are worth watching cause talent comes first
This man has guts to call out the nepotism
Because bollywood never treated him as their own... Being Pankaj Kapoor son in bollywood wasn't enough for those who control bollywood... Facts...
@@THUGPUTINpehle Shahid aur Abhishek bhi dono ko hi movies mil jaati thi par pata nahi kya hua dono ek dum se gayab hi ho Gaye ab ott ki wajah se dubara dikh rahe hai
and he mocked SSR on stage cold heartedly. .
LOL such B S
This guy was a part of d rugs party of Karan Johar 🤣😭
If he was treated like he thinks he should have he wouldn't open his mouth. He's one arrogant fellow
You got to put your money on a horse that actually runs, not the one that has the shiniest coat - Shahid Kapur 👏👏👏👏👏👏
I wish he expressed himself more often like this. Shahid, we look up to you.
shahid, you are the man. such a gentleman and real
he is a true gentleman, can’t wait for Ashwatthama
He is very intelligent and mature person
His first movie ishq vishq showed that he is going to be something in bollywood and today he is one of the best actors we have int he industry and he actually is a complete "hero" in bollywood be it acting or dancing he can do all..
I am impressed how he just curved the word 'struggle' in his sentence. Anyways..its not like Shahid lacks words to express his experiences
He tried really hard to not say that because people hate that word! But he truly has worked his ass off to come this far
He is a great and good looking actor in reality but it seems some of his opportunities are snatched by someone else... His films like kaminey ,and so on are examples of his good acting...
"If start struggling in a BMW and after being a star you buy other BMW then what's the fun of it."
Great line Shahid, atleast you came up for talent. This shows that he doesn't want film industry to be the monopoly of big stars.
Dhaaga khol diya.
Outsiders should get more opportunities to showcase their talent on the big screen. That is not happening and the reason is that big banners go for people they know and often belittle people from the outside.
The reason why the quality of the movie is bad.
@@shivamgusain5185 ak typical action movie m bhi quality dikh jata h agar filmmaker and actor's m telnet ho

Seeing someone being honest after such a long time from Bollywood :)
HE is 100% spot on and true....
He worked pretty hard dude...Not only is he a very versatile actor, he is also an amazing dancer . Aditya from Jab we met shall always be my crush ❤❤❤
Very well said by shahid. Pehle kt was "kaam se" now its "naam se" thanks to mr johar and zoya akhtar
Tbh it was always naam se. Anurag Kashyap mentions this in an old interview that 20 years ago (describing his work in Satya, 1998), bollywood was mostly controlled by a few families and how it was extremely difficult for him to break in. I think this will always be the case because, firstly, the profession requires low levels of a technical skillset and so, it is easier for dynasties to continue than other professions, and secondly, given the high economic returns, why wouldn't dynasties want to continue.
@@AbhishekPandey-si2xonepotism is there even in all the other professions you just mentioned.
@@7viking good analysis
@@7vikingI like your analysis but did you just dismiss creativity and real/raw talent in art by saying that it requires “low-level technical skill sets”..just because Bollywood is ruled by nepos now doesn’t mean that there arent some really hardworking and really skilled creative artists like randeep Hooda, Rajkumar but they don’t get limelight and relevance as much as these silver-spooned nepos.
@@rrinrinrin Definitionally, technical skills refer to such skills that are acquired by mandatorily having to learn them following a rigorous education, in most cases. For example, skills relating to science, maths, etc.
In other words, you cannot be a rocket scientist without actually having studied for it but your natural ability at acting might be enough for pursuing that career professionally.
There is difference. He said right thing you don't enjoy success until you struggled. You don't get to enjoy your hard work
Very true what Shahid said in life. He is a very smart intelligent and an honest person as per his interview conversations ❤
Satya vachan! And the way he said it!
When you are from outside, you become Shushant!!
Shahid is such a mature actor. He have really struggle but never spoke about it
I have always respected this guy.
Hardly have I ever seen him uttering any kind of nonsense in front of the media, being pretentious or in unnecessary controversies.
All these are the signs of a genuine person and a superb actor who is really passionate about his work and craft.
Shahid in fact has said many times that he has very few friends from the industry. And I do believe him.
He's a great actor. And I know his father is proud of him!
God bless him... 🙂👍
Really great talent ..self made star Shahid Kapoor
He is an amazing actor and definitely an honest man.
He's an actual & well deserved actor.
Shahid kapoor is a honest human being👏👏respect
Forget about acting... The biggest struggle you have faced is having your parents separated. Don't understand how come the so called love marriages fail even after knowing the person completely. Wishing no kid to go through this pain.
most of the love marriage fail
Wish i could like this interview 100 times. Well spoken!
He's honest humble person
Truly said!!
Gem of a person... guts hain bhai🫡
Can't be more precise than this❤
Honest Truth about industry and this is what is happening. But that day will arrive soon I believe when talent will be valued.
Finally a A lister actor from Bollywood is speaking up … look at the percentage of outsiders vs insiders .:: shahid worked his way up .:: so nice to hear him honest
Love you Shahid ❤
Wow Shahid thanks for this. Means a lot for struggling actors like us. 😢
I used to like him but only alone Sushants unfortunate death exposes this whole sick film industry
Neha dupia as host? 😅 You lost me there only.
I remember when his first film came, no one knew his father😊, people used to call him Chhota SRK😅
So true💯💯
I love this man ❤
He is a gem actor no doubt. His work speaks it all
Because when they come from outside you and srk together start mocking them on stage
Very truly said . Few names are
Janhvi kapoor, sara khan, Ananya pandey etc.
I am from kerala , so I watch Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi movies. I believe one of the reasons for Hindi movies not having good content is that the class of people who are making Hindi movies, they all speak English, even while making the movies itself.
There is a huge population in India that loves Hindi movies but they can't get in touch with and be friends with these English speaking film makers. People who are fluent in English are much lesser in number than others. Hindi is a beautiful language, and I don't understand why Hindi film fraternity uses English as their primary language to speak to each other.
Shahid is versatile
I think hes the most successful from side characters kids category and whole credit goes to him ppl's prince 👑
Nicely said true
I remember a video of him , stage sharing with sushant rajput . I bet you guys should watch it .
Sunkar Acha laga, I enjoyed Shahid true words. We r actually from d same generation and it fulfills me to admit someone thinking straight.
So true, I dint know for the longest time that Shahid Kapoor was from some bollywood family.
finally one actor has heart and Empathy.
Started from ishq vishq dil mangee more we've seen him how he's growing in his career. The real actor from scratch.
Exactly, Wats the point of not experiencing lowest in your life to highest in your life. It makes you a whole diff person entirely.
After ages someone has spoken out like this! Kangana says it with hate but Shahid said it with concern! respect !! Love from PAKISTAN
I like he is talking openly now 👏👏👏
It only an adventure and fun to struggle when you know that you can always fall back on your parents because your dad is Pankaj Kapoor and etc. Other wise it's your life and you never know when it's going to end.
Awww❤❤ aint he so Fine
Well said shahid.....
He's right.
Shahid has insane depth ❤
But he can't deny he's given like 15 flops in a row and still gets casted like come on dude
Spitting facts 👏
He always speaks his heart
Amazing guy. Big fan since first film 🎉
This was much needed
Give a great role, a great script which this great actor actually deserves. Listen to this man producers. If not, indian cinema and we audience will suffer more.
❣Shahid I love you bro you are Pure soul .. now its your time only .Mark my word.
..Lots of love
Love his honesty
He is also a product of nepotism but he proved it multiple times by his acting and at the same time he is thinking about outsiders ❣️
OG Shahid kapoor
🔥💯
The host is pure meelliiff
loved how brutally true he was!!
That’s the reason u fit in all roles sir hatssof one f the greatest actor in film industry
isn't it only human to favour ur near and dear? I agree if once given opportunity if they are not up for the job then they should not be given any more films.
Truest it' can get
No hate for Shahid & certainly he must have struggled but he doesn't really represent the outsider. You don't go from being a background dancer to a debut with lead role without the dad's "connections".
So uninfiltered . Loved it
I cant believe Brut found Neha dhupia as the interviewer 🙂
😂😂😂
Its bruts choice😂😂
Yea there are much better people out there who could have been the interviewer.
She’s not an interviewer for Brut. Brut actually used a clip from her show.
Why does video repeat twice
i agreed to what he he said
I Love him, But How Come people are saying Outsiders are not getting opportunities. Vicky Kaushal, Siddharth Malhotra, Ayushman, Rajkumar, Anushka, Deepika, Kiara, Almost Every Hit Actor is outsiders only.
Whereas The ones from inside are very few namely Ranbir, Varun and ??
Can Someone please explain.
Alia Bhatt is another nepo kid that is a hit actor. Anyways, I think he is saying that because nowadays there are very few new outsiders coming in the industry, the actors you mentioned are those that are already established in the industry.
Kiara is not outsider...she is from famous actor relative family...sidharth got exception...eventhough he is not good actor but survived due to the favouritism and his good looks...ayusham..he got a long break after 8 or 9 years...that too doing dj in radio mirchi and going to auditions for long time...same goes to rajkumar rao...finally got recognised through anurag movies..and vicky..his father is action director..but it take him seven or eight years to do lead roles and for the recognization...deepika is already a mini celebrity as a daughter bof prakash padukone in banglore even before her movies...she got offers since she was 12 years...but yea she really worked hard for this long period... sorry for my english 😮😮
Those names you mentioned are just the few who made it past nepotism. Majority of big name stars are from film backgrounds.
@@rgseven6557 for eg?
@@lakshimiakshithavoloju2006kiara is an outsider 😂😂😂

For me it was Haider - it made me respect him as an actor ever since. before that he was just that poster boy / cute fellow who made girls go awwww
Neha Dhupia is a very good interviewer ❤
Lit 🔥.. straight to bullseye 🎯😅😂
Well said.
❤
I love Shahid kapoor acting , dance , look wise but very sad to say big directors banners r only for khans , kapoor and Singh .. nobody admires this underrated star .
Shahid is full of arroagnce that's why 😂
Correct 💯
Seriously
Actually he is right, there are many talented people who don't get the chance or are snatched from them as they are not having the God fathers
👏👏👏
The directors are also nepo kids and that’s hurting Hindi cinema. The person who is controlling the project should have incredible talent and they cannot be getting the director’s chair through recommendation.
This is exactly what ananya pandey said 😅
Some of the star kids are so downright arrogant that they even refuse to acknowledge that total outsiders with zero contacts have the least opportunity when it comes to breaking into Bollywood. Whilst Star kids may not succeed, there's absolutely no denying that they can easily get direct access to director or producers as compared to total outsiders with zero contacts.
