Amount of time you spent on research is good.
But dead load and live load are not lateral loads. Those are gravity loads. Lateral loads are wind load and seismic loads(earthquake loads).
This is not light weight. The dead weight of Reinforced concrete is 25KN/M3. For brick it may vary in between 8 to 18KN/M3 depends upon the type of brick.
Shear wall technology (Mivan Formwork) is mostly used for the apartments with 20Floors or above.
Main reason why architects prefer such technology is to avoid the columns and beams projecting out of the brick walls.
Another main reason contractors prefer this technology is because of speedy construction. Means with present scenario, imagine constructing a Residential development project with some 30floors and having 8 towers with brick wall and plastering it both inside and outside. The amount of time and labour will be very high. With shear wall technology, one entire story of a building can be done within 7 to 8 days or max 10days depending upon the built-up area.
These are the two main reasons were shear wall technology is workable.
