We saw two type of swans, the Trumpeter and the Tundra Swan. Distinguishing Trumpeters from Tundras was not easy for us.

Swans are an amazing creature. You can hunt them in a couple states...kinda sad. I'm a hunter myself but just my opinion anything that big and beautiful should be left alone. I've had time to observe them and they are so smart and so majestic. God bless all even the swan hunters
Not true. It’s not illegal to kill. They have tags people can pull to hunt. I live in Alaska and people draw them unfortunately. I rescued 3 Trumpeters and took care of them till they were ready to fly. Beautiful creatures
Depends on state. I live in Texas. Completely illegal to hunt Trumpeter and Whooper(no licenses offered.) Mute swans are okay, although would not want to miss ID it.
Very nice video with valid information. It should be mentioned that there are two subspecies of tundra swans: the whistling swan, found in North America and the Bewick's swan, found in Asia.
Would be nice to just listen to them without the music.
