As the owner of 5 Capris from mid 70s up until the late 80s and still love them today i have to say this is a really fantastic restored example. Credit to the owner.
In 1986 I had a identical 3.0s on an S plate early mk3 like this same colour , brown fishnet recaros only had rs alloys on but I think it had the 205 tyres on of the 2.8 Capri loved it had a few 3 litre capri s and 2.8 ,s too , lovely job trip down memory lane watching this Good stuff Cheers guys .
Has a 73 capri I 2600cc. Was very fun! Only had the 2 barrel carb and 3 speed manuel tranny. But still a blast to drive. Wanted to bore out to 3.0 and fuel inj. Also 5 speed manuel! Loved that car! I liked how the air vents would adjust right where you wanted then just dial open or close.
I love this bringing life to a classic sports ford that my kids will be able to appriciate at shows etc,so important that people with the skills find these.brilliant
I was mad for Capris, had 7 in all, your taste in restoring this car is absolutely perfect, what an amazing job, I wasn’t sure in the yellow at the beginning but what a perfect choice, well done to all involved, my favourite one I owned was a silver 3 litre S, such beautiful cars 😊
What a great restoration, well done chaps. I'll admit, I'm an old fart, and back in the early 80's I never really liked Capri's, and thought them a bit too much like an English muscle wanna-be car. I did have 11 Mk2 Escorts, and a couple of Mk1's though, which were more my thing. But, that said, what you have done with this is simply amazing, credit to you.
Utterly beautiful, what a magnificent job you've done, take a bow lads. I owned 3 when I was younger & I loved them all, this filled me with nostalgia & hit me in the solar plexus
A friend of mine has exactly the same front spoiler on his 2.3S as well as fishnet recaros. I totally understand everyone who has't bought an ultimate Capri wants to have the best parts on his car. To me this is a tasteful MK3. Most importantly it is your car and you like it this way. Thanks for sharing it with us. Bye from Prague Ford Club CI5
Had a few 3.0s,and a 2.8 and loved them all ,one had an X pack body kit fitted and boy did it get some looks but anyways loved your vid great work look after her.
That’s one iconic car.The rust battle finished most of these beautiful cars off.Seen lots of these on the road in 90s and they were fast then never mind the 80s
My dad got an orange 3.0 litre S after having two black mk2 first one was the JPS second one just an S. Brought the orange one & my young sister burst into tears!!! she hated the colour (she was 5) I loved the colour & still do.
What a real pleasure to watch, always loved capris from a boy, even owned my own 3.0lt Ghia auto 78 plate many moons ago, awesome, still love them! Thanks for the trip down memory lane guys👍🏻👌🏻
Yep. Should have kept my immaculate 1980 red 3.0S back in the day 😫😁 This was a great restomod and I love the signal amber contrasting with the black 👍😎
Great job, great colour. Second favourite - mine is Peppermint Green. I'm still restoring it though, putting in a Jag S-type engine. Can't get those 3 liters here, we got the 2.8i but with a five-speeder. Looking excellent and one of my fav cars. Would have loved to hear the sound though.
Can't be, I do not have FB, there must be some other weirdo that likes peppermint green! When I finish the car I'll put up a video on YT, but that will take time. First I have to fix my Fiat 500 (1976) and the X1/9 (1977). I have a lot of cars.
Lovely build. A video would have been nice at the end simply to hear it and see it drive but i personally would bin the rear spoiler and fit an original. Personal taste.
Had about 20 of various guises some quite rare. Mk1 3000e manual was one. Had same colour and car as this. XNJ 282S. Last seen around 1987 in Lancing sussex. Lovely cars.
Such a Fantastic car, What a Great Restoration job, I love this video so much, Thank you ever so much for sharing this beauty, I also love the music you used in the video (would love to know what it is), thanks a lot
A piece of art 👍🏻 Also giving u huge credit to restore this beauty ! But d big rear spoiler looks real strange n ruins d overall appearance... I would much prefer d original rear spoiler
I admire the time and effort you must have put into the restoration mate, love the triple Webers, my only criticism is the boot spoiler, what were you thinking ? Absolutely ruins the car, little subtle one would have finished it off lovely.
Beautiful car! I love the turbo spoiler! And how it fits that revolution wheels! Could you tell me please what size of wheels and rim? Are they 15x8? Thank you!
SO pleased that there are people like you out there who breathe new life into these classics. What an amazing car now!🇬🇧👍😎

Such a sexy car far nicer than any new ones these days !
You've got to love the Ford Capri, a classy beautiful car.
One of my favourite classical cars and in my favourite colour too!
That looks like a very solid shell to be starting with came out looking good
Stunning car very well done the old ford cars were so good used to work on them had two capris
Beautiful job mate. My friend had a black one. Red pinstripe, pepperpot alloys, fishnet Recaro's. Great memories, well done, well done just well done.
Looks great, love the colour and the black alloys. Only thing I would say is get rid of the spoiler and fit the original
completely back to std now, inc engine
@Duke the meister i sold it
Yr absolutely right...
A period color brings it really up a notch.
Maybe seen for real the spoiler ‘grows’ on me🙏🏽 lol
Very Very nice capri looking really fantastic 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯👌
Signal Amber cars always looked special on the road, back in the day, and still looks fab now :)
Great job!! Another Ford, restored.. Thumbs up!
I love this bringing life to a classic sports ford that my kids will be able to appriciate at shows etc,so important that people with the skills find these.brilliant

I'm envious. I wish we had these in North America .
Utterly beautiful, what a magnificent job you've done, take a bow lads. I owned 3 when I was younger & I loved them all, this filled me with nostalgia & hit me in the solar plexus

I wasn’t keen on the colour at first but once it was all together it works reallY well.
Black and yellow always go together
My dad got an orange 3.0 litre S after having two black mk2 first one was the JPS second one just an S. Brought the orange one & my young sister burst into tears!!! she hated the colour (she was 5) I loved the colour & still do.

RAS 604S was the registration of our Capri in 1986. nice car, yellow with Black vinyl roof and rear spoiler.
Yep. Should have kept my immaculate 1980 red 3.0S back in the day 😫😁 This was a great restomod and I love the signal amber contrasting with the black 👍😎

Not usually a fan of color changes but this one really works , the trunk wing is hideous though, nice job all in all
Looks SO GOOD! Nice work mate!
Just stunning beyond belief
Wish I still had mine. White with a black vinyl roof. I even remember the reg: MVM 600W......

MJ RACING Noted, good day n🍷 cheers...
That looks absolutely awesome !!. Bet it does great MPG with those carbs. lol
Paul Taylor I would rather have the smile factor than mpg,mpg is for the boring daily driver car like your golf focus or astra
Simply stunning!!!! 😎
lovely looking car....
Top ! Spass auf Dauer - Capri Power !
great video,great job!
Damn dude that is really awesome! Love everything about it mate.
Lovely Capri. I much prefer the 3.0S over the 2.8.
What's the music BTW?
Great video. Lovely background tune too. Nostalgic. I am not familiar with Essex engines. Would you ever put a coyote V8 in one ?
Its more like a hobby it's a good thing to do restore old Classic Cars.
I admire the time and effort you must have put into the restoration mate, love the triple Webers, my only criticism is the boot spoiler, what were you thinking ?
Absolutely ruins the car, little subtle one would have finished it off lovely.
2.0 Laser was my first car. Nicely done but I wouldn't have changed the rear spoiler and kept it more "original"
Top quality job mate : )
Love the music near the end
The English Mustang! Sharp car!
Superb job
