I've got a Gladius. Its my 1st big big 650cc. Tons of torque! I have a Black Widow exhaust with some other mods that came with it. It's a awesome bike. It's powerful too.
I had the exact same bike just mine was a 2009. I put 22k miles on it in a year and a half. Sold it to my friend for his first bike and bought a 2001 Triumph TT600. Were both super happy hahaha he loves it.
You should see my video, "Why The SFV is the BEST 650." Also, the "F" badge made people think its an "SV for Females ". People hate the exhaust and the name "Gladius". I love the ray gun exhaust, as I call it.
Tbh, many people hate the Gladius, but.... outside of perhaps the headlight I think it's a very good looking bike. I might prefer the latest SV650 sliiiiightly over it, but honestly I don't see how people dogged on this bike when it came out... It's sleek, slightly curvy and stylish. And I'll be honest: this one in particular looks really good to me.
Mine is incredibly slow to me. It’s still a great in town bike but once you get on the highway it’s a bit of a dog. I still love her though and won’t sell my first bike.
I have a love / hate for this bike. Hate the ovaries on the tank swooping back under the seat. HATE the vagina birthing a headlight. Really don’t like the toupee over the headlight that holds the tachometer and speedo. Love everything else about it.

I hate the headlight of the sv650. At least the headlight on this sfv650 looks like it's from this century
Getting a 09 gladius this weekend. Definitely excited. Has roughly 16,000 miles.
The design ages beautifully, much better than the sv650. It still looks modern in my opinion.

Agree, it’s definitely not for everyone but it doesn’t change the fact that it’s a fun and somewhat unique bike!

I have one as well. It has been my first bike going on 3 years now. This bike is the more reliable Japanese version of a Ducati monster 696.

Is there no fuel gauge?
There is an orange light that comes on, on the gauge cluster when you’re low on fuel, I know it’s a pretty annoying.
