I like that Miku doesn't know what is happening so she get hypnotized, but Teto does know what is happening so she tries to close her eyes to not get hypnotized. I just love that.
I HAVE A THEORY. what if the hypnosis worked almost like the happy pill drug? yeah it’s a stretch, but the symptoms kind of match up. when you take the happy pill your eyes either turn fully black or the smiley face. as seen of miku, her expression and body language shows that she’s overly energetic and seems “happy”, as for the pill, you also become “happy” and energetic. also, when the drug is taken, the pill overrides any feeling of sorrow or pain, meaning they can’t see it either. so when teto is obviously worried and scared/nervous, miku can’t see that, because the hypnosis, teto seems happy.

Some things i noticed in the song!! Teto blinked 3 times fast then 3 more times but longer then 3 times fast again which is SOS in morris code. Teto aslo did the hand signal for SOS to during the last letter in the quiz. And when muku was hypnotized and dancing the captions for English were all weird, there were symbols and others. After miku was hypnotized Teto was sweating a bit showing that she was scared of miku or something. And times in the video there were random pictures that were in black in white. The quiz also says SOS. The thumbnail also says SOS, miku did the peace sign, making and S there was a circle in the middle,making the O and Teto was also doing the peace sign making another S. The star has 13 points which is an unlucky number. There was a fast passing text saying "Mesmerizer!" Teto was going to get hypnotized too but when it happened the music got muted so teto wasn't wasn't hypnotized (YET!) When muku was hypnotized she kept dancing even though its Teto's part. This isn’t fake, the proof is that… from the comment, it said her bestie danced to mesmerizer and her bestie felt that her neck was getting thicker(i dont know what that meant) and her bestie said she felt like she couldn’t stop dancing.(reference to miku not stopping even when it was time for her to stop on the animation MESMERIZER..) her bestie started humming and she stopped dancing. Her bestie then went on to look at the mirror. HER BESTIE’S EYES WERE BLACK.(reference to miku’s eyes also turning black) since her bestie started humming, she didn’t get hypnotized. Similar to teto(the girl with red hair on the vid) not getting hypnotized much since she didn’t dance (I don’t know what the comment meant by didn’t dance but I put it here for more info)her bestie slept and in the morning it was gone, and her bestie was back to normal.
