Why does almost everyone show using a sprayer horizontal? I always spray vertical. There is one exception, lap siding. Inside, the studs run vertical. Running vertical uses the studs to hide uneven spraying, which everyone does at one point or another. Also, spraying vertical gives you long even strokes with no start finish lines in the middle of the field of painting. This is very important when painting and the paint has a sheen to it. You get what is called sheen build. A nice shiny spot on the wall. This is coming from someone with 30 years of experience in the industry.
