I'm about to back off from an amazing man, because i don't believed his love will last Very long..i accept he might be in love at the moment, but i don't believe someone can love me unconditionally....i find it hard accepting compliments and love statements..so i ended up here on this video. And it's true, i have negative self talk going on in the background of my mind... I feel like the more he loves me, the more i want to run away....
But this argument she poses is inheritly flawed and doesn't hold up for most people. For example: I'm not doing anything to "hold a potential relationship away". So it's not "more accurate" to immediately assume someone is "holding back" anything or thinking thoughts that ruin what they "already have" when they DON'T already have it, especially when you falsely assume they would already have a relationship by now if they weren't holding back anything. It's a fallacy to believe the false narrative that the moment you want to attract a relationship, the universe will automatically make it work out for you on the spot, despite your individual efforts. That's not how life even works, and if it DID--then I'd know alot of great people who already embrace who they are with ZERO resistance who are instantly finding partners as soon as they desire a compatible gf/bf. I'm hearing a lot of half-assed logic and victim-blaming in this talk and how "It must be because you're doing/thinking A or B", when it's very likely they're just unlucky and aren't around the right people who are openly available and actually care about them enough to truly love them. I have yet to attract anyone who is available, even after constantly opening up around people and being my genuine self. It's either they think I'm "too much" or "too open" right off the bat, or they truly do accept me for who I am--but are already with a partner they love more than me. It's not always the fault of the person trying to attract a man/woman, especially when they aren't even self-sabotaging like she wrongfully assumed. I thought the whole purpose of initiating a relationship of ANY kind is to open up and be honest. Not being shy and conceted through avoidance and self-sabotage. The new-age bullshit idea that you will instantly attract the partner you want simply because the universe will just magically bring it to you once "you're ready"....needs to stop. That's not how it works. I've been ready for awhile and have accepted myself for who I am, and yet I have yet to see the person that the universe is supposed to magically put my way. If so, the universe has been constantly teasing me with people that SEEM like the right partner for me--and then revealing they're already married or taken by a partner they're obviously meant to be with and are happy being with.
