Who else here almost cried when Razor Crest was destroyed? It was too real, like the death of a character, but it was cool to see a cataclysmic character ship actually being destroyed. How many times has the Millennium Falcon been in near death situations only to survive with just a few parts torn off. Razor Crest bought it, big time! Although the N1 is fast, and hot-rodded, and it served Din well for some battles, it’s just sooo dang small. Din needs a ship that can be lived in and be used for bounty hunting. Just my opinion. I have both models of Razor Crest and N1 on my work desk.
I like the N1 starfighter, I really do, for like a warrior that isn't taking anyone back with him it works as a fast attack and escape ship...that being said, for a bounty hunter, a fighter isn't practical and the Razor Crest was perfect for a hunter like Din. Plenty of room to live and sleep, escape pods and passenger space and heavy armament. I'd like to see a return to another Razor Crest in the future.
I think the Razor Crest is a better ship for his needs than a modified star fighter, and it reminded me of the in the bed of a pickup campers that people used to use

Same! I really don’t get why they felt the need to destroy it. Maybe the VFX were too complicated (AKA expensive). I noticed it has a lot of moving parts. The rear landing gear have two doors each plus the legs, the front landing gear has a door, the engines have the thrust reverser flaps and a door in the side to expose the takeoff/landing thrusters, the exhaust nozzles can be adjusted, and I’m pretty sure the fan blades on the front of the engines move too, and finally three boarding ramps. Compare that to the N1 which has no moving parts except for the canopy. I’ve been thinking of doing either a series of weekly community posts showing off my LEGO ships one at a time or a video showing them all off at once. I’m not sure which I’d do (or maybe even both), but I’ll definitely do something like that sooner or later!
I rather like the Razor Crest, it was a perfect ship for a beginning bounty hunter who used the profits from his work to help support his covert. It was a simple, fairly reliable ship that performed better than I had expected. Din's new ship is not without its charms, BUT the Razor Crest, has the living space to feel appropriate for a star tramp.
The Razor Crest is a great ship! It fits the aesthetic of Star Wars perfectly. I like the custom/restored N-1 fine but Din will need a larger ship eventually, especially if he wants to live in the ship or do bounty hunting work again.
One shot does not a battle make. Seriously, a battle takes traded shots in my opinion and I spent years as a Combat Security Contractor. I was paid large sums of money to protect high value targets in conflict zones. Some call us Mercenaries but what we do is legal.
Could have used a tailgunner controlled by the astromech. If you're bigger than a fighter having turret mounted weapons gives you a edge, and they don't have to take up much space - even a Y-Wing mounted one.
Yeah, it seems odd that something described as a gunship only has two fixed forward cannons. That’s just an overgrown starfighter! Perhaps a Razor Crest in military service would have door gunners like the U-Wing or something. A tail gun like the Resistance bomber or roof turret like most other ships this size would be preferable, though. Even the SS-54 I compared it to has one!
Well, I didn’t end up building it, but the one I was looking for was sort of like a mini Gozanti cruiser with a tall Millennium Falcon style cockpit. You can see it on Nevarro a couple times.
I put in a clip of it at the part where I mentioned it, but basically it’s a ship with a vertically stretched Millennium Falcon cockpit attached to mini Gozanti cruiser wings and a flared base at the bottom. It’s a really cool design that appears a couple times throughout the show. I tried building it this weekend, but I decided I’d have to take some things apart to do it and didn’t think it was worth it for a ship that doesn’t even have a Wookieepedia page. There’s also one that looks like a cross between a Snowspeeder and a VCX-100, but I haven’t been able to find a single scene showing the back of it. At least the mini-Gozanti has decent front, side, top, and rear angles.
It really was. Fortunately it appears that either he will be getting a new one or that Zeb has one that he catches a ride on in the upcoming Mandalorian and Grogu movie.

Agreed. At least they gave him a house at the end of season 3! If they were living out of the N-1, we’d have to call CPS for poor Grogu…
