We arrived in 2 weeks after Hurrican Ian, September 2022. It was our 5th time at this resort and sad to see the destruction, but they did a terrific job getting things cleaned up and operating. The Manager (Jose) went out of his way to help us. We traveled from Pennsylvania and booked the package with AmStar. Our AmStar rep (Junior) was available every day to help us with excursions and return travel arrangements. The fact that the property is compact makes it convenient to get around easy. Mike's coffee house is probably our favorite hangout any time of the day or night. It feels like home every time we arrived.
We are still here and leave tomorrow. We have been to the DR prob 15 times, and this is by far our new fav resort. From the layout, restaurants, pools and food, we have no complaints at all. The beach is still a work in progress but didn't effect us, we still enjoyed it! We'll def be returning!
This was started of the evening. Most people were likely getting ready for supper /Evening. It was packed. You'll absolutely love it. We hope to visit again soon!
We went in April, it was hot! Sept to Dec I believe is hurricane season. we always go March or April to break up the Canadian winter. This is one of the best resorts we have been too
The beach is still a work in progress. You can still see where it was washed out, but they are still working on it. Didn't effect how amazing the beach is in my opinion.

What season did you go in? If the hurricane season is it still hot there and how long does rain last
