I feel like the original was very energetic, yet was very emotional at the same time. Seungyeon brought forth that energetic aspect and Yeonji brought the emotional aspect. They both did great covers
She’s the only singer I’ve heard covering this song that doesn’t strain too much or shout when belting. She belts fully supported and isn’t shaky on the high notes it’s really impressive
It's amazing how effortless she sounds, it's so stable too. Sonyoul also did a good cover of it, although it's not as good as hers it's still very impressive.
I watch this at least 18 times a week just to remind myself what a clean and clear high note should sound like ...... like this performance is honestly unreal how beautiful and clear the vocals are ..... like I can`t !!!!
I personally prefer her version a bit more than Son Seung Yeons. I like both voices, Son Seung Yeons and Kim Yeon Jis! I think there's a slight difference in delivering. Son Seung Yeon kind of screams out all of her power and she has this leisure and this swag in her voice. Meanwhile I think Kim Yeon Ji sings with a lot more emotions. I also like Kim Yeon Jis way of bending her notes ^^ I also prefer her vocalization, but that's up to everyone's own preferances :) Korea should be proud of having such amazing singers!!^^
Sonnet son isn't screaming what you're hearing is resonance. Her mixed register to head voice are her strongest register and have the most support and really good resonance and the projection is insane. To you it may sound like she's screaming but her resonance and projection is literally just that good and has a good weight to it.
+Raini Kim you are right! I actually didn't really mean screaming itself, because there's no doubt she can sing. I just didn't know how to exactly describe it. Thank you!^^ (There are really singers out there screaming and not singing.)
