Thank you Fisayo for sharing this. I have selected some of the schools I want to apply to and I have got an application fee waiver for one. Currently preparing to retake my GMAT exams in October and also write my essays. I would really want you to speak to passing GMAT exceptionally, if you can also bring someone on board who wrote the GMAT and not GRE it would be very helpful as most people I have met wrote the GRE. I’ve written GRE(307) and TOEFL IBT(100), I even obtained my transcripts from my school( transcribed it with WES) but I got discouraged by a friend that told me it would be difficult/impossible to get full funding for an MBA since my undergrad training was Pharmacy, that I should rather apply for a core Pharmacy/Science PHD , which isn’t what I really want.
Your friend is not correct. I had MBA classmates who were medical doctors and pharmacists

I’m Currently in the exams preparation stage. GMAT is the recommended exam for the course I want to study but I’m considering the GRE because GMAT isn’t for the weak.

Hi Mekus, I think you’ve done a good job at identifying where you are currently at. Your self assessment shows you’re not good at essays and do not have sufficient work experience, so I’ll advise you to seek out jobs that will give you the relevant work experience that will make you a competitive candidate and boost your profile.
Also, invest in reading and writing more to enhance your essay writing skills before thinking about applying for an MBA

Just look for Schools you might be interested in. For me, reputation mattered...so I looked at only top 10 schools....that is not to say there arent good Business schools who arent top 10...that was just my personal criterion...if you have any specific question, you can ask me...goodluck

@@FisayoGracieAbby i didn't write any. Was looking out for schools that waived all 🥲. I've applied to 1 school only for Spring. Most of the schools are requesting for Evaluation or GRE..

@@chymnaza I believe you should use this time to prepare adequately towards the exams then since most of the schools require it. You can also turn in more Spring applications while you do. But then target the exam preparations for Fall application

Thanks for the knowledge, I currently work as a network engineer for a construction company. However, I'd like to know if it's acceptable to obtain a recommendation from someone in a different professional role inside the same organization, such as an accountant.
In addition, only the top employee in my organization has access to corporate mail. My supervisor has already written his letters, but I'm concerned that the use of Gmail or Yahoo! for my second recommendation might raise a red flag.

Hello, yes you can definitely use your company accountant for the recommendation.
I also don't think using a gmail/yahoo email might be a problem, you just need to let the AdCom member you've been speaking to know about it before you turn in the application

1. I’m not in Nigeria, so I do not know. But you can do a quick google search and find out the cost. I also included the link to their website in the video description. Please check it out
2. I believe that’s a personal preference question. I wrote mine at a center, it would have been great to write it from the comfort of my home but the option wasn’t available then.

@@FisayoGracieAbby I reached out to the professor about 3 days ago and he said that he has spoken to the lady that is in charge of international student and she said that she will send it this week and this week has already ended. Although I want to resume by January. I got approved around first week of July.

Even if you got a 100% scholarship, do you still have to show a specified amount of money in your account to get your visa?
Yes you do! You need to show that you can cater to your living expenses throughout the period. The visa officer may or may not ask, but it's always good to have it just incase
