Pleasant performance... like all the content on this channel! ...That's right Arturia made a nice machine, easy to use with nice presets. It was an inspiring video, thx!
Your music is so nice and inspiring. The whole instrument springs to life by the way you patch it (the vibratos, the oscillator mixing) and also by the way you play it (beautiful chords and fantastic arpeggios) !
Really nice sounds! I especially like the Beatmaker section at about 4:13. I love my Minifreak, am learning it quickly -and this is a great inspiration all around! Subscribed.
loving what you're cooking up with this magickal little gadget here. your sound design is top notch. that patch at around the 9:02 mark... so nice!! bravo!! I do hope you're able to drum up more vids with the minifreak.
@@TheUnperson I'm ready to fully commit to the minifreak by way of one of those fancy decksavers from over in your corner of the world. as expensive as they are, it's totally worth the little insurance investment. but they don't make one for the minifreak!! what gives?!?
UPDATE: I see it!! it wasn't there when I last checked, which was... a week ago tops. nice!! I'm glad I mentioned it here. you just saved my minifreak from the clutches of my mischievous kitten. thank you, unperson!!
Thanks for the inspiration. I don't have the hardware but I do have the Arturia MiniFreak V and your preset pack sounds great on the MiniFreak V! I hope you see 10K soon.
I think you just sold me a Minifreak! Your patches are really nice for more atmospheric Detroit style techno. I'm not really into using/buying other people's patches. But I think I'm actually going to get your pack to see how they're made.
Amazing patches and vibes as usual! TBH I had kinda written off the Minifreak cos I had a Microfreak and didn’t really gel with it, but you’re making me reconsider! 😀
I think the minifreak is better for live performance and it’s much easier to program. Hydrasynth is way deeper and better for sound design, but doesn’t have a sequencer.
Really impressed, the sounds you have crafted! I recently bought the MiniFreak, my first musical instrument.. I have a fundamental misunderstanding that you might be able to help me with -- is there a "base sound" of the instrument so that I can begin my sound experiments from a common starting point, or is the process to explore the presets until I find something close and make a copy for further tweaking? Thank you in advance -- cheers!
@@TheUnperson ugh how did I not figure that out - THANK YOU! “Init patch”, cool! I didn’t realize this until after commenting, but I’ve seen a lot of your modular videos; all so helpful. Thank you, again!
This thing is so cool. I need a 17"module version. Or if the keys had 1 touch midi channel change instead of menu diving id replace my current controller w it.
Loving this demo of the Mini! You've created some incredible patches. I plan on going into the hospital for a few months. I normally use my Freak with my MPC but I'm looking for something a bit smaller to take with me when I go to the hospital with my Mini for drums. Mind telling me what drum machine you're using in this video with the mini? Thanks and keep making dope patches!
@@TheUnpersonAwesome! I really appreciate the kind words and quick reply! If you don't mind me asking, are you using the Drumbrute or the Drumbrute Impact because I noticed there are two models with different key features? I am really liking the depth of bass and boom bap on your drums though. So the help would be appreciated! All the best and thanks again!
@@TheUnperson Awesome man! Thanks again for the reply! I noticed while you were playing some of the keys on the minifreak the drums seemed to start automatically playing different sequences. Is it possible to sync both devices so that you can play them/trigger sequences on both instruments while using just the mini or just the brute? I hope this questions makes sense. But you appear to be doing it in the video. Thanks! 🙏
Nice, alternative demo stylee here!! Liking that 👌 Can't help you out with Affiliate linking as placed order for this within 30mins of YT demo's 😁..... however, you can never have enough patch sets right? 🫠🎹🎶🎵🤣🍻💥

Man, that final session with the arpeggiator is so sweet.. great start for a song right there
Thank you! :)
What a beautiful piece at 2:29. Sounds like a jazz standard that never was.
Thank you! Took me ages :D
I agree man that sounded really good @TheUnperson
Man I don't know what I'm digging more: the sounds or the way you're using them so musically haha.
Random comment maybe but that is one beautiful desktop surface you're having.

It is a very tempting synth ~ especially for the price!

Wow beautiful demo!

Beautiful, thanks for sharing !❤
P.S. You have a great approach for teaching/demoing and a great voice for this. Best of luck with your channel! More Minifreak please!
Thank you! I’ll definitely be revisiting the MiniFreak in future :)
First patch reminds me of Legowelt..nice one

Great! I love the MicroFreak I won at a raffle at Signal Sounds!
I also won a MicroFreak at Signal Sounds 😂 Must’ve been the same night!
Nice sound&Play ♪
thanks!!
I had a microfreak a while ago and sold it... I think I might need to get one of these.
This is definitely a microfreak on steroids. Hopefully they'll implement a similar update as the microfreak to get sampler capabilities!
Can the presets work with the Minifreak VST?
they do indeed!
1:47 Dave Angel vibes. Great little snippet!

Thank you. I’m trying to decide between an Explorer, Minifreak, or secondhand Digitone Mk I… Think the Minifreak’s the way to go..
Amazing, is all percussion from the drum brute impact?
Thanks! Yep just the drumbrute in this vid :)

hey thanks! If you press and hold the preset knob then it will create an init patch, which is just a single saw tooth wave I think :)

At 19.19 is the keyboard triggering your drum machine?
I’m using my left hand which is out of shot to press play on the drum machine :)
what are all the drum sounds coming from? the impact?
yep all the drums in this vid are from the impact :)

It would make a nice controller for sure!
Does this keyboard have drum and percussion sounds or are you using another machine for that?
There’s a drumbrute impact off to the left in this video :)
Can you make presets in the software and save them to the hardware unit? Also, is it multi-tembral?
You can indeed! It’s not multitimbral tho unfortunately:)
