just started this game a week ago, just unlocked destiny level 4. Been playing dead cells since its launch and always looked for substitutes, this is the perfect substitute, fast paced fun action combat, love it
I'm thinking about doing a aura tier list or top 10 builds vid as something a little different if that would be of interest. Drink choices depends on what is unlocked in the void catalyst and destiny level. Full void catalyst and DL100: triple > mana > attack speed > crit ~ strength > armor > health With no increased crit damage: move crit to last Sub DL54: triple > armor > health > attack speed > strength > mana > crit Destiny level 100 mana is important to burst down the secondary bosses. Tankiness is worse than dps because getting hit is so punishing and it is easier to win fast than in a battle of attrition. I personally like attack speed to get mana for spells back faster. Sometimes I grab armor in worlds 3/4 if my build feels strong enough at that point. Strength vs crit deserves it own post but the spark notes is that all damage increases are additive except for crit. With full void catalyst, a crit stone is more impactful than a strength stone at +150% damage. Generally I take strength early and transition to crit late. BUT when learning the game and working up the destiny levels I would strongly recommend focusing on armor and health first. You'll learn the boss patterns better when the fights go longer.
Hey there! I was curious to see what strategies are effective on such a high destiny level, and watching your gameplay one of the things I was most puzzled by is why you picked those two electrospheres towards the beginning of the run, despite their negative gambits and having plenty of other spell options. It almost looked like you were specifically looking for them, since as soon as you saw them you bought/grabbed them without wasting a moment, are they particularly effective for something I'm not seeing? Also if you have general tips to push into higher destiny levels, they would be very welcome!
Thanks for watching! Electrospheres are massively overtuned on melee characters where you can connect all 8 projectiles by overlapping an enemy. Add on a couple mana restoration gambits and they will gain mana on each cast and you can spam spells infinitely. The only comparable 1 mana spell is Octave's Incendium (the drone that shoots 8 times) which doesn't require positioning but deals less damage.

Try hades or wizard of legend
I'd love to hear you talk about your aura choices. Also how do you prioritize drink choices
