When you remove the rear springs things go to hell quickly. Do all this but leave the rear springs with 2 coils cut off to lower the ride height. You can also fill the shocks with thick grease.
@LoganKn when what? I'm on the treal 52mm double barrels w/ softest spring included and they are amazing now. Ran upside down and use the stock shock end w/ball. Amazing setup with the furitek scythe frame.
This is due to moving the shocks to a lower spot thus lowering the vehicle slightly. You can always drill a small hole higher up on the frame and mount from there. The rolling is due to the shocks having more travel as at the stock configuration they were already extended.
@@TheUserReview so my scx24 jeep on the box says new oil filled shocks and them my older brothers bronco has air and spring both bought from axial at the same time too and my esc and battery is all different too I was confused at first my old mans c10 is like the bronco but my jeep has different things for some reason
@@TheUserReview@cooper4790 is right. The weight of those plastic shocks will make zero difference no matter what the orientation is. If you want to make a channel to educate, then you should give more explanation and not just regurgitate all the same info that every other RC reviewer is saying. Take some time and give an explanation. Inform the viewer “while these shocks don’t have much weight, heavier metal shocks can give a minimal increase in lower COG if flipped”
@@Benjamins_RC_Channel Hi Ben. Thank you for your comment but I will have to respectfully disagree. This a simple modification and an explanation was given. Thank you for stopping by 👍
@@TheUserReview it’s a modification that is pointless when the orientation of the shock makes zero difference. There is no need to flip a shock unless it is top heavy and you are trying to achieve the best low COG. Otherwise you are teaching people to do something without giving them the knowledge of “why” If people don’t understand why, then they aren’t being informed. And as an influencer, you just keep echoing the same thing with no value.
This actually works great tip
👍
Great vid bro it helps a lot👍
Glad it helped
Thank you for this video it helped me a lot 👍

Thanks for the tips! Drink some water, it'll help stop the shaking in your hands.
Alcohol would work better....😊

You could but I have experienced less binding when removing springs. It also helps the shocks articulate more with less resistance 👍
What happens?

You should choose different background music
How do you separate the shocks to pull the spring off?
Firmly pinch the shock shaft while unscrewing the bottoms of the shock!
When i did the last mout thing it looks like its squated and the body moves left to right when going back and forth

Does IT Help THe trx 4m from Traxxas tho
I have not tested these mods on a TRX4M yet but I am sure it would help as well
My jeep has different stock shocks?
Not sure which one those might be but it should still work

How do I remove my spring from my shock?
The bottom piece of the shock unscrews from the shaft! Just screw it all the way back on once removing the spring.
Unscrew the top cap from shock. Compress shock in your fingers, then use your .050 Driver to unscrew the aluminum shaft.
read the manual you'd tossed
Would this work for a trx4m also?
Yea it would!
That lowers you center of gravity by nothing.
Thanks Cooper 👍
