See you in the next one!
I used to proudly own one of these beauties from '89 to '93. Then came a few GSXR's, a CBR 900, a Ninja 750, a 600 and even went retro again with a 1980 CB 750F. Also, being a motorcycle mechanic, I've been having my lucky taste of a plethora of bikes since 1980 to date. Whatever, it is my beloved Z1-R the one I positively miss the most. Nothing matches that engine sound yet and never mind the flaws; although It was already outdated by the time, it's still the greatest thrill of my entire motorcyclist life, which is more than 35 year now. I still regret that I let someone took it from my hands in exchange of a ridiculous amount of money, because it was priceless. Anyway; so far, there is only one bike I know I could appreciate that much: the original '82 GS1000S Katana. But that's a story that never was... yet?
Beautiful bike
I've watched all your bike reviews back to back in one go this evening. They're all excellent and very entertaining but this is my favourite. I love the descriptions of the bikes foibles as if it where actually alive; the bastard! Great stuff!
My comment above relates to the Z1r review. The bloody video changed while I was writing :/
The tank holds 13 litres, and the indicators should be capable of self cancelling. They do on my Z1R, and I had it from new....
Thank you! Great job!
It was a great video with a sense of realism.
I 'm happy to be able to see the majestic scenery that can not be seen in Japan.
you are very welcome glad you enjoyed!
It's a lovely bike. I know... I have had mine from new, and it is now 39 years old. And the indicators are great. They self cancel!
Mine runs properly, and it has NEVER been apart. It likes Shell V power. Carbs never been apart. Never had paint either, looks like it came out the factory. No... It is not for sale! But... Brakes? What brakes. And it is heavy, 660 pounds dry!
i rode it again today for the exact same reason as this video haha it runs on all 4 cylinders now so its alot better also found out about the indicators which rocks! it is a cool bike my dads very proud of it
Oh you lucky... one. I got rid of it in 1993 and I regret every single day of my life ever since!
Looks really cool
it's very unique looking!
Nice to see the old bikes coming out, but you are right modern bikes are much better to ride, and they keep getting better and better.
it was nice to ride something of that era certainly a first for me, and yes I agree modern tech makes bikes nowadays fantastic, thanks for the comment
