Well not really, sometimes the unit is too defensive they more of just turn into a walking wall and sometimes it is so weak in offense they just become a blockade

Love this video Baron and I need to say that Japan had a modern navy and had modern planes while the Americans did not but close to the end of the war it flipped America had better ships and better planes. Now for kamikazes , it's not because they had bad planes it's because they were losing too many good and skilled pilots so they decided to send less trained pilots on kamikaze missions.
Actually, Japanese kamikaze pilots were highly trained and valued and would often be treated well in the military and not executed if they fled the battlefield. For more information than I can remember check extra history's video on kamikaze pilots.
In regards to kamikazes
The kamikaze planes themselves were old and outdated. Japan didn't have anywhere close to the military production required to match the US, so packing old and seemingly useless planes with explosives was one of the most cost efficient ways they could bring anti capital ship firepower to bear. The skills of the pilots varied considerably, but they were usually veterans, just because it takes balls of steel to go on a mission which isn't just guaranteed to kill you, but is you actively seeking to kill yourself.

thats actually not very true Naoki. numerous japanese aircraft had fixed landing gear, making them slower than other aircraft. they also did have quite a few good aircraft but on the majority of planes they were slower than their american counterparts and had little to no pilot protection. the f4f wildcat (martlet in british service) was essentially a biplane without the upper wing and yet was still faster and better armed than most aircraft it faced. additionally, many japanese bombers were vulnerable to head on attacks due to a lack of nose armement, such as the P1Y1

I for one would love to see this game progress to a Stage where you can have Multiple Ships in a Fleet instead of a 1v1 like it currently is. Think about this, it's 1944 and the Japanese have been getting their Riceballs kicked around by the Now Materially and Numerically Superior U.S. Navy Pacific Fleet. The Top Brass in Washington now has their Sights set of The Island Archipelago of Hawachi Jima which is Littered with Coves for Mitsubishi A6M2-N "Rufe" Floatplane Fighters and F1M2 "Pete" Biplane Floatplanes while also being home to a Rather Large Floatplane Base with Kawanishi H8K1 "Emily's" and Aichi E13A1 "Jake's" as well as a Large Airbase with a 1,200 ft by 800 ft Runway and a 900 ft by 700 ft Runway with Mitsubishi A6M5 and A6M6a Zeroes, Nakajima Ki-84 "Frank's", Kawanishi N1K1-J "George" Fighters/Fighter-Bombers, Mitsubishi G4M2 "Betty" and Yokosuka P1Y1 "Frances" Bombers, Aichi D3A1 "Val" Dive Bombers and Nakajima B5N2 "Kate" and B6N2 "Jill" Torpedo Bombers meaning that it would be a Pocket of Heavy Resistance if it were to be simply Bypassed as well as Leaving ships Vulerable to possible Air Attack. The Imperial Japanese Navy and Army both know this as well and the Navy Sends a Carrier Fleet with the 2 Shokaku-class Aircraft Carriers Shokaku and Zuikaku and the 2 Hiyo-class Light Fleet Carriers Hiyo and Jun'yo. The U.S. Navy has a Carrier Fleet with the USS Enterprise (CV/CV(N)-6), Essex-class Aircraft Carriers USS Yorktown (CV-10) and USS Hornet (CV-12) and Independence-class Light Aircraft Carriers USS Monterey (CVL-26) and USS Belleau Wood (CVL-24) nearby Preparing the Island for the Eventual Amphibious Landings which will secure the American Flank as they make their way towards Tokyo. The Battle is set for something bigger than the Battle of the Philippine Sea or The Battle of Leyte Gulf.

IF A MILITARY COMMANDER SEES THIS, REPLY. Why do they never make drones that kamikaze, or fast, unarmed drones that become bait? I mean, lives are valueable.
I'm no commander but the main reason is probably that they will get shot down before they reach there target
