We use netting over our 50'x30' chicken pen, i was able to just smack the snow off before it got icy and that worked great.

Why was I surprised when groundhogs and any rodent that pleased effortlessly gnawed through plastic fencing I put around a vegetable garden, because I underestimated them , doubting they would seek out the 7 foot section I finished my fence with.
Now he learned to climb the gate. LOL
