Just now found you! Love your cooking shows!! Made me smile about stopping for wild flowers, I have always had this thing about wild flowers!!! Free gift from God!
I've canned strawberry jam before, but then decided to just make a small, fresh amount each time I wanted some. I just cook down either fresh or frozen berries with some sugar or stevia, with a little water, and it cooks down into jam in about 10 minutes. I just put it in a covered container, and it lasts for about a week in the fridge. I always made this when my family came to stay with us for Christmas. Sooooooooooooooo much easier than the whole, huge canning process, and, I think, safer too.
My 81 year of dad has the best philosophy of life. “Be a responsible adult, but never lose your inner child.” Keep that inner child, embrace it. P.S. I would drop the strawberries through the top of the food processor too. 😁❤️ I love your cats. I have a ginger named Eddie and two black cats, Sumatra and Midnight. 🐈⬛🐈🐈⬛
Just so you know, you should remove the leaves on the flowers if they’ll be submerged in the water. It’ll help them to last longer. It prevents the leaves rotting in the water, decreases bacteria in the water and will keep the water fresher too.☺️
I’ll have to try this. Actually I’ll have to remember next spring/summer. My Mama makes her peach jam this way and it’s the best. Like so fresh. I’ll have to try the strawberry too. I won’t care for it necessarily. But my son would love it. Thank you!
Kim your such a beautiful person I recently came across you on UA-cam and have enjoyed watching all your videos truly brings joy to my day I loved the strawberry jam one Leo trips me out congrats on your new son he’s beauTiful Please keep the videos coming god bless your family - -BJ-
Does the pectin help act as a preservative, I've heard of using chia seeds as a thickener, have u ever tried it? Have u also ever tried sugarless applejuice sweetened or any other natural sweetener for jam? Would the like to see your husband and u test it😊. Good job. God bless.
My mom in Michigan makes really good strawberry jam and anytime I get back up there she has a few jars for me to bring home. I really shouldn’t be so nervous to try making it, but am lol! Plus, there’s a huge strawberry field and market less than 5 minutes from us. No excuse, right?! Just discovered your channel and enjoying your vlogs! 💙
This makes me want even more to be a homemaker! It looks fun! Your cat is cute! It's cool you are a cat person, (seems they are harder to find)! I also have a big orange cat that is so sweet and a kitten!
Wow! You made a lot! Looks good! Freezer jam is definitely much better. I would have made half with some chunks though. I love the chunky kind. How far do you live from your parents?
Great job on the jam and your video!! Hope your YT channel is a success! (You don't know me personally. I've met your mom a few times and am a friend of Rebecca's.)~Dannielle

Thanks so much 😊
Please tell me. Jam should be stored in the refrigerator or freezer. I am from Russia and it is difficult for me to understand the translation)
Either way! if you plan to keep it for long periods of time, freezing it or canning it are several options!
I absolutely love these big blue bowls in the strawberry jam video. Could i ask where you got them from? Esther
Yes, they are from Tupperware:)
