I had the honor of coming home to almost nothing. My wife was too busy with another man to even know i had returned at all let alone be at the field. Pretty sure if my brother hasn't been i would've totally fallen apart.
Man, where were you all in at the time? Lol, I never got this much care outside of immediate family at the time. Thank you all for your kind words.😊

I hate it when I hear a man is not to cry! I think it's wonderful! My husband is a marine! His Father taught him to never show emotion, and always use a handshake, in fact his 5 brothers were taught that too! Well my husband learned from me and my parents that, that is wrong! Even his Father learned a very valuable lesson when he came to visit his son, a truck driver! His Father came to see us off and gave a handshake to his son, then turned and got into my mom's car. My Mother went over to the car and opened the back door and told him to get out. With a look of astonishment, my Mother repeated the statement with more irritation in her voice and demanded he give his son a hug and told him that he was going over the road and he didn't know if he would see him alive again. So he got out and the two embraced, they both cried! After we left and I talked to Mom that night, she told us he thanked her for the lesson and he felt better. When we stopped to visit them, his 5 brothers and their families were there. Each or approached me to thank them for softening their Father. Their Father gave each boy a hug whenever they came to visit and cried. They each spent time on the phone to thank my Mom for what she did to change their Dad!
A man who let his emotions flow is less likely to have a heart attack or stroke that is stress related! My Father-in-law is proof. For a man who had "small" heart attacks, he lived another 7 yrs before passing, and enjoyed his grown sons even more! The heart attack that did take him was from all the years he smoked cigarettes!

These homecoming vids are so cool but this one brought me to tears seeing brothers and sisters in arms coming back home to their loved ones………..I remember coming back home from Desert Shield/Storm on the big parade field at Fort Stewart GA March 24 1991, I didn’t have any family there but I was more than happy to see other family members being their for their loved ones returning and that everyone returned home alive……..my heart went out to the families who’s loved ones didn’t return home that died in combat, I knew a couple guys from that unit who died there my unit was attached to during maintenance operations etc…

I had awesome Leadership when I was in the U.S.A.F. I already had a job lined up before I went in, wasn't going to sign up for more and my whole squadron from top to bottom knew it. I made a statement one day to someone, can't remember whom, that I wish I could get out and be home on my mom's birthday which was a 23rd of the month. I went in on a 23rd and was scheduled to get out on a 23rd. But,,,,, they made it possible for me to be out and home on my mom's birthday on a 23rd. That was 3 months short of my actual departure date. I still got all of my benefits but it did cost me 2 extra years of inactive service. My inactive service was over 2 months before the U.S. went into Afghanistan. Wish there were smart phones back then because it was just like a lot of these videos.

I have a few veterans now in my family, so I definitely know how these people are feeling although I wasn't alive when any of them were serving the country. It is quite exciting when your loved ones come home from the Army or the Navy or the Air Force. I don't know which one of those was in my family, but they're all retired now which is why I said that they're veterans and not soldiers. It was a longish video, but it was definitely quite interesting to watch.

My girlfriend, Ellená, a sexy Púérto Rícán chícá, had graduated early from her high school in Virginia. I couldn't be there to see her graduation ceremony in school because I was deployed to Panama to boot out the Cubans. I only was able to make ONE CALL from the Special Operations section of the compound to her after being there for 3 and, a weeks. I swore to her that I would return to her.
I returned 3 hours early to surprise her. Only her parents knew about it!! Classic!
Here was the exchange before we reunited. (Special note: her dad was video taping this.)
"Hey, baby. Why aren't you so happy on your graduation party?"
"Well. I was kinda hoping that my boyfriend would..........
"Hi, my Puerto Rican Goddess. I'm home, baby." I said
She cried, leaped into my arms and, kissed me more times in a 5-minute span than I ever had ever! It was the best time I had, up to that point in time.
    WONDERFUL MEMORIES!!!
