Only the obvious ones like is there 12v at the + terminal a good ground/earth. Maybe check the steering wheel switch or connections. I sure you wouldn't have attempted this project without a basic knowledge or car electrics, so I'm probably telling u stuff you've already checked. Did you get the correct connection to the steering wheel slip rings?
@@mostlymotorcycles. update... so I contacted the seller, and they tell me that 99% of the time, a failure is due to wrong installation or a faulty clockspring... I'm not sure how to tell if the clockspring is bad.. My airbag light goes out a few seconds after running so I figure it 'should' be good... to test my theory, I connected the 2 wires from the cruise stalk, to the 2 terminals on the ecu, where the clockspring plug terminates. ( i used a multimeter to test for continutity to make sure). This time, the cruise LED lit up.. so I guess that means I do in fact need a new clockspring...
It may not. It needs an input from the rev counter to control engine speed. As it's an auto gear changes / engine RPM changes would upset the computer. Even when the Torque converter lock and unlocks going up hills would cause issues. There may be an Auto specific model you will need to check.
Great vid thanks mate, so much better than reading the instructions!
Awesome video mate.
How has the cruise control unit held up over time? And did you ever get the indicator light added to the dash?
Cruse still going strong. Yes, drilled a hole in the dash between the gauges at the bottom for the interaction led.

Do you know if this will work for a 05 Toyota Hilux Surf 2.7L Auto?
