Riceberry is a rice variety from Thailand, created in 2002 by the Rice Science Center, Kasetsart University, crossbreed between Hom Nil rice and Khao Dok Mali rice to obtain high nutritional rice. The outcome is a soft, deep purple whole grain rice. It's grown primarily in northern and northeastern Thailand.
You had some of my favorite Northern Thai dishes. Got a chance to try Sai Ua and Nam Prik Num in Chiang Mai, and it was awesome. Also did a Khao Soi tour in Chiang Mai as well. Can't get enough of Khao Soi. 🤣Thanks for introducing that restaurant.
We make Nam prik regularly. Our version is not northern Thai, we do a more chimichuri version with fresh herbs, fish souce, garlic and lime. It's frigging excellent on almost anything. I'd love to try all the versions you have available l!
Too bad that I'm one of the "chosen ones" that equate the taste of cilantro/coriander to Sunlight Soap on a good day and Diesel Fuel on a bad day. I can handle it in moderation like in most Costa Rican Ceviche but it can destroy an otherwise excellent meal for me! I do like my food hot, although I prefer it when I can still feel my tongue after eating. Would I survive in Thailand ????😊
@@TheDufresnes I chuckled when you asked the 2 guys what the name of that herb was. I thought I heard him say "soap". I just assumed he meant cilantro ... LOL
Why not just keep your thoughts to yourself and find someone else's channel to watch in Costa Rica? Like Chris and Shayna said: No skin off their backs!! Smh...😊
@amywamala haha ya unfortunately there are these people in the world and they have access to the internet. We were talking about this with our friends last night, they get it 1000x more because they have almost 250,000 subs. Some of the comments they receive are mind blowing!

Oh no! That's too bad you're on that end of Cilantro. The thing with here is you can in most cases ask for your food medium spice or no spice.
