Brendan's next appearance will be next Tuesday, but he'll still be in Dublin. They filmed a bunch of stuff there, which I can't speak of without posting spoilers, but it will be worth the wait ;)

It always bothered me that Leah's bio dad popped up for a day, wanted to see her, and then vanish again without even checking in to see if Leah was happy, healthy, and safe. I mean I know the actor got cast in Emmerdale, but they could always have cast someone else down the line. Though Ste will always be Leah's real dad, he's taken care of her since she was little. He's the only father she's ever known and he's all she has now that Amy has died. It just annoys me when stories are there to blink and you miss them stories, like at least see it through.
Back when Amy wanted to move to New York and Ste was going to go with them, didn't they say something about how Ste couldn't get a visa because of his criminal history? Also, Ste has no legal rights to Leah so... WHAT IS HAPPENING?!?!

That would be awesome. I always loved her.

On The US Webseries Venice, Ani A Photographer is with Lara but she still wants Gina back. Then on Emmerdale, Aaron is with Ryan but it's Robert he "wants".

American here too. No disagreement here. Federal law generally trumps State but there are a lot of things here. I'm not really sure any of this would go to Federal court but I have not judgement call either way. Here in USA, If Ste never adopted Lea then only Amy has legal say. If the birth father petitions against the man who may have raised her all her life, then the courts Usually side with the birth parents, unless you can prove they are unfit. I've seen it get Ugly! A judge would decide.
The only laws that would come into play are the British laws. Doug has no dog in the race, because Leah isn't his, NOR is she Ste's biological child or legally adopted child. If they came to America with her, the port authorities would stop them before they ever left the international terminal of the airport and arrest Doug and Ste (if the 'father's' solicitors contacted the US govt) and charge them with kidnapping, custodial interference.
But if DOMA was upheld, wouldn't Ste still not be considered a spouse by the Federal Govt. and sent back ? DOMA is so unfair. And someone said because of Ste's criminal record he wouldn't be allowed in anyway But I guess the writers don't research and should be the ones arrested, LOL.

She met a teacher fellow and they moved to Arica to work in some school there. That's why Ste even has the kids right now.
